The era of hyper specialization blows. I would like accounting a lot more if I could do it 20 hours a week.

Per Google: A gauger is a person, device, or official who measures, checks, or evaluates the quantity, capacity, dimensions, or quality of something—most traditionally liquid volumes or manufactured goods.

Main Definitions and Roles
Tax or Customs Official: Historically and in British/Scots usage, a gauger is an exciseman, customs officer, or tax collector who measures the contents of casks (such as wine, oil, or liquor) to calculate and collect excise duties.
Industrial & Oilfield Inspector: In modern industrial contexts (such as oil and gas or manufacturing), a gauger measures and inspects the volume, level, or quality of liquids, petroleum, or gases in storage tanks, pipelines, or containers.
Manufacturing Worker: A quality-control worker or inspector who checks the physical dimensions, tolerances, or machining specs of manufactured parts.

To be honest, gauger, surveyor, and accountant are all pretty similar specialties if you think about it.
