⚖️ Full Series (mainline and spin-offs) What are some plot twists you thought would have happened but didn't? Spoiler
I remembered that sometimes while playing the games, I made some wild guesses that were not true in the end, so I was wondering if that happend to any of you,if yes,I'd be curious!!
Ex. In TGAAC I thought that Pavlova was actually inspector Lestrade (they look the same first, second I remember that Pavlova wasn't in the credits at the end of the first game, when everyone tells how their life after the last case is going), and I was so sure of it until the end lol

⚖️ Phoenix Wright Trilogy Just finshed Case 3-5 and the wright trilogy and... Spoiler
Holy shit. This is without a doubt the best case in the entire game. This case has so many positives the couple negatives I have about it get pushed out of the way. To make it fair, I will talk about my negatives first before I say all the positives I have about the case.
The Bad: I think they went a little overboard on trying to keep bringing up DL-6 non stop as well as fey clan history, it was important to the story and I understand that, but it felt like they were force this incident back into another case. Larry Butz involvement in this case barley gives us anything except to give wright time to recover and a piece of evidence that is only twice and it barley helps the case (in a way). Dragging out the case with the "trick locks" kinda felt a bit disappointing, Bikini is a bit annoying but she's at least tolerable.
The Good: Edgeworth taking over the case on the first day of trial was a crazy change and it kinda felt like a Mia situation where it was only once and you got to play as someone new for a change and see how they acted as defense attorneys along with the fact that Phoenix almost died after he ran across a "BURNING BRIDGE TRYING TO GO TROUGH LIKE HE HAD PLOT ARMOR". The music during the entire case was amazing as I was thrown in different moods, with "Fragrance of Dark Coffee" calm relaxing music in the village, and a brand new remixed pursuit theme when you reveal the final evidence. The evidence was all different and all had either a tiny detail that anyone could miss to the case, or it was something that was so important and out of pocket is was crazy. The constant twists in the game also got me shocked and caught me off guard with Dahlia Hawthorne coming back after her death to seek revenge on Maya/Mia "AGAIN" and how it went so wrong for her again because of maya channeling her and Dahlia getting sent back to the spirit world after she un-channeled from maya. And the biggest twist that the plot was for Dahlia to kill Maya and be channeled by Peril, but Misty was there and stoped her from being channeled, was about to kill Maya, then Godot kills her and the only reason why he caught caught was his vizor lights, the vizor itself hiding his scar, and him not being able to see red which made him miss the blood on the pillar.
Overall this was without a doubt the best case ever, I will post a full review of every case on YT eventually, but for now this is a number 1 in my opinion and I can't wait to move on to the Apollo Justice Trilogy.

💬 Discussion Why do all my favorite characters have to be first case victims? Spoiler
Richard Wellington Raiten Menimemo
And Bronco Knight Are a couple of my favorite characters as I love them a lot, but I’m also so disappointed that they couldn’t be a second or third chapter killer because I want to see so much more of them instead of being just in a tutorial case
Do you have a favorite first case** ***killer*

💬 Discussion Crossovers you'd like to see
What if we had another crossover before aa7? What would you like to see?
I think I'd like to see Phoenix Wright vs. Minamida Minamida: Ace Attorney vs Extraordinary Attorney, I'm watching the show and imagining it.
Case 1: Turnabout Isekai.
A reimagining of 5-dlc where Nahyuta was originally supposed to prosecute the whale, but gets killed by the Yakuza (the fanbase would cheer at Nahyuta dying lol) so Edgeworth has Phoenix prosecute the one case and Minami gets to defend the whale (since she's obsessed with them.)
Case 2: Turnabout Yakuza
Minami Namina (Alita Tiala in English,) who is Minamida's cousin gets accused of the murder of Nahyuta and Minamina has to defend her things Apollo keeps trying to get his brothers killer put away. He may not prosecute, but he would definitely be on their side.

⚖️ Ace Attorney Investigations Ace Attorney Investigations won’t open on steam deck
Recently encountered this problem. Game will start to launch and then it just takes me back to steam. I was playing it for a long time without issues. I tried re-installing. Anyone else encounter/fix this problem? Thanks in advance
EDIT: Fixed. Remembered that binding of isaac was also giving me issues after an update. Just chose an older version of proton and it’s running again :)
Hope this helps someone else

⚖️ Phoenix Wright Trilogy Godot's career as a prosecutor Spoiler
I am aware that he wasn't really trying to "win" and his purpose was to test Phoenix Wright, but I can't get over how his prosecution career is a complete disaster.
In a nutshell, he:
> Starts off as a rookie prosecutor
> Decides to harass one specific defense lawyer by only taking cases that Phoenix has taken
> Has a 0% win rate
> Gets arrested for murder in the end
and Gumshoe REALLY hyped him up in the beginning of the game for some reason, even though it was basically his first case as a prosecutor😭

💬 Discussion if phoenix wright is the protagonist in attorney of the arcane what will change?
for example how he will interact with the characters and how will the story change and if he can solve all cases or not.
also there are different scenarios to make it more interesting
phoenix alone
phoenix and maya (spirit channeling)
phoenix with magatama
phoenix and athena (mood matrix)
You can choose 1 or choose 2 or 3 of them together in one scenario (except for phoenix alone)
now show me what you got!

⚖️ Apollo Justice Trilogy Does Dual Destinies stop holding my hand at any point?
I'm only on the second case and I have to say, I really enjoy it! I had a very easy time with Apollo Justice and tended to guess the answers rather quicky, but this case (the one with the Tenma Taro Yokai) is one that I find a lot more difficult to solve in comparison despite the game spoiling who it is.
Blackquill is also a good prosecutor. Nothing against Klavier, I like him a ton and more than Blackquill because Rockstar > Samurai, but his arguments always kinda sucked. I think that's one of my minor critiques of AJ, it felt like the entire courtroom was playing dumb when the answers were so obvious. (4-3 and 4-4, I'm looking at you.)
In DD I do actually have to think a lot harder but the thing is... I don't get to.
The game always spoils it for me. In investigation sequences they tell me all the time where I should go and what I should do. I never have to do the thinking myself. In AJ there were multiple times where I had to actually use my brain to figure out how to progress. Then during the trials, I'm given hints the whole time. I admit, the trials in AJ where easy as hell, but I still had fun because at least they were easy because I did the work before and not because the characters keep telling me the solutions.
Like man... Just let me think please!!
Anyway I don't want to judge the whole game yet, so I wanted to ask, does that part get better?? Like do they stop holding my hand? Because other than that I'm having a great time but gosh is it frustrating 😅
Oh and please answer without spoiling anything!! Thanks!

⚖️ Apollo Justice Trilogy Which Apollo Justice game is the best? RESULTS Spoiler
I've allowed more than 72 hours for responses. I've now received 123 responses. Thanks to all who responded!
Time to dissect the results!
"Would you consider it to be a good game?"
| Game Title | Yes | No | Guilty Pleasure | Complicated |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Apollo Justice | 73.2% | 7.3% | 5.7% | 13.8% |
| Dual Destinies | 55.3% | 19.5% | 7.3% | 19.9% |
| Spirit of Justice | 66.4% | 13.1% | 4.1% | 16.4% |
I will admit, I was surprised by the AJ results the most. I thought AJ would be much closer to 50%, with more critics and "guilty pleasure" fans. The rest doesn't surprise me. I will admit I was wrong; next time DD fans are bemoaning "people like Apollo Justice so much more than our game" they can use these results to back themselves up 😆 . And I can stop gaslighting them with the whole "well AJ fans have it hard too" which I admit I've done before.
In all the "ranking" sections, I'll convert "best" to the 3 points and "worst" to 1 to make an average.
Best: Apollo Justice, score 2.11
Middle: Spirit of Justice, score 2.05
Worst: Dual Destinies, score 1.85
For overarching story, it was
Best: Apollo Justice, 41.9%
Middle: Spirit of Justice, 31.5%
Worst: Dual Destinies, 26.6%
Only 25.8% of fans wanted to wish one of the games out of existence.
For cases, I won't display the exact data. That said, when ranking the final cases, it was
Best: Dual Destinies, 21.8% saying best
Middle: Spirit of Justice, 21% saying best
Worst: Apollo Justice, 19.4% saying best
Other final cases that had high numbers were The Magical Turnabout (10.5%) and Turnabout Trump (8.9%). For worst case, The Monstrous Turnabout had easily the most votes (32.5%) followed by Turanbout Serenade (21.1%), Turnabout Corner (9.8%) and Turnabout Storyteller (8.1%).
I will admit, all of this surprised me. I expected Revolution to significantly outdo Tomorrow, I expected Serenade to be closer to Monstrous for worst, and I expected Storyteller to be more hated than Corner. To be fair, Serenade is shorter than Monstrous, and it has some interesting ideas, but I still don't think it's very well executed.
More results coming in soon!

💬 Discussion If Miles Edgeworth were "evil"? (Corrupted AU Part 3)
Previous Parts:
I left this series far behind, and the reason is this character. I don’t see how I could turn Miles Edgeworth into a villain without him just ending up as "Von Karma 2.0."
Perhaps you all have better ideas—and, while you're at it, which character should I "corrupt" at next?
I’ll just say that, regarding the theme of corruption, I saw an analysis video that explained (MAJOR SPOILERS FOR INVESTIGATIONS 2) how Simeon Saint was a reflection of what Miles might have become if no one had ever helped him in his life.

💡 Question / Tips I need advice
I just finished the original Phoenix Wright trilogy and I really enjoyed it. I want to play the next trilogy but at the same time I'm worried I'll feel too burnt out on ace attorney in general as I felt quite tired of the gameplay during the middle of JFA.
I also want to get into another game series but I'm also torn as I do want to continue the story of ace attorney as I'm really invested in it, I don't really know what to do so I'd love some advice.

⚖️ Apollo Justice Trilogy I had a pretty wild idea a while ago about an hypothetical case for Athena Spoiler
galleryThis reminds me of why I wish I could write a fanfic or make a fan game, or at least a fan case, but it’s so hard.
Anyways! I really like Dual Destinies and these two characters, and it got me wondering how a case would go in a hypothetical case for a hypothetical future game, in which the scenario is that Aura was released from prison, but after a while, she gets accused of murder and becomes the defendant for a case. I think it would be an interesting premise if that happened and her defense attorney was Athena.
These two have a loaded story, hostile interactions ( the hostility coming mostly from Aura ), but after Turnabout For Tomorrow, Aura finds out the truth about Metis’s murder, so it doesn’t make sense for her to hate Athena anymore. Of course, it would be awkward between them anyways. But given those things, I think it would have so much potential to be interesting, and it could bring them closure. It wouldn’t be necessarily Athena forgiving her ( although it could be ), since Athena doesn’t really owe it to her, but it would be a sign of both being willing to move on.

⚖️ Apollo Justice Trilogy A question about 6-5 Spoiler
There's one detail I never understood about 6-5
Inga's time of death was 2 PM, and Rayfa even saw him (channeled by Amara) around 2:45.
But the autopsy report says:
> Inga's Autopsy Report
Time of death: **Approximately 3 PM**
Cause of death: Blood loss from a stab wound in the back.
Why does the autopsy report's time of death contradict the actual time of death?
I've considered the possibility of his dead body being put inside the sarcophagus to mess with the autopsy report, but such a thing was never mentioned in the game, there's no evidence of that happening, and there's already a dead body in the sarcophagus, so a rectangle box designed for one body might not even be able to fit two bodied.
I can't figure this out. What do you guys think?

⚖️ Phoenix Wright Trilogy The timeline of Recipe for Turnabout confuses me
The original murder happens on December 3rd, so the trial presumably happens on December 4th.
Somehow, Phoenix and Maya don't learn about it for over a month. And Gumshoe either didn't learn about it during that month or he waited a month to tell at Phoenix about it.
After a month, both the spilled coffee and Glen's belongings are still left lying around.
Did the localisation change the dates or something? A month long gap just doesn't feel plausible here.

💡 Question / Tips Question about DD and SoJ
this may get sent to downvote hell BUUTT I really need someone who thinks (or at least, thought) like me to help guide me through this one ;P
What should I expect from DD and SoJ, as a major fan of the original trilogy? I've purchased both of these games on the app store recently when they went on sale, but...
I'm halfway through Apollo justice (on turnabout serenade, just tapping through waaaaiting for it to be over) and honestly, I really haven't enjoyed this game as i thought I would...can't seem to connect much with the cases or characters/humour. I find Apollo so bland tbh, and i can't wrap my head around the whole magician thing.
I really miss the original Pw trilogy, just absolutely love the old style graphics (purchased the games on steam but still played on emulators because i hated the airbrushed washed out look-feel of HD vectors) the retro anime aesthetic, the character designs, the absurd yet simple case logic and rustic case stories, everything. It felt grounded in reality and nostalgic for a time I wasn't even born in.
I really miss the OG cast with Gumshoe, franziska, maya, etc and I'm aware that some of these characters come back, but...
When I look at the latter half of the games via fanposts, ads, official sites, etc. for Dual destinies and SoJ, the sudden change in style and appearance and the introduction of various new characters along with the 3D graphics seem like it's a whole different game altogether? Character designs like that of Athena Cykes who looks more sailor moon girl than ace attorney, I'm ngl no hate tho, sure there's probably a good explanation for that.
Are these more standalone, and not like continuations?
Now, I'm aware that maya/kurain/magatama/psyche-locks have always been a theme/mechanic in the og trilogy but it seemed fitting there. It didn't take away from the noir genre/blended in seamlessly.
But these later ones just idk, seems very fantasy genshin impact-esque which is not the genre or style i enjoy.
Do these games get better/bear any similarity to the first trilogy?
Should I give them a shot or just stick to Ace attorney investigations and end it there lol, if they're gonna be more like Apollo Justice, or should I keep an open mind and find something I may enjoy?
What mindset should I go into these games with?

⚖️ Phoenix Wright Trilogy Today is the 24th anniversary of the GBA version of Justice for All
A game that is pretty divisive from having one of the worst cases in the series to one of the best back to back. So what's everyone's thoughts on this title over two and a half decades later?
