Hello /u/External-Breath-992,

‼️ If you are requesting help – please review our guidelines, provide high-quality photos, and include detailed information for others' understanding.

User reminders:

  • Please search on this subreddit – someone might have already asked the same question as you.
  • The most valuable feedback is that which you get from doing research - not asking questions to a general audience on social media.
  • Always be wary of the advice you get off the internet.
  • Seek scar evaluation and treatment from specialized healthcare providers rather than aestheticians or med spas.
  • While subcision ("subcutaneous incisionless surgery") is often mentioned by users on this subreddit, it is important to note that it may not be necessary or suitable for everyone with volume loss.
  • Be aware of any reported side effects from a procedure.
  • It can take multiple treatments and a long time before you see effective results.
  • Here is a checklist of questions to ask yourself and your physician when considering treatment.

Thanks!

3-4 sessions of IPL/BBL then reassess 3 months after the last session. These are mild, and you're suffering mostly from post inflammatory hyperpigmentation, at first glance. Lasers can target the redness and help tackle the hyperpigmentation.

Make sure you're applying SPF daily in the morning and reapplying every two hours when you're in the sun. You could also look into a retinal or tretinoin to help increase cellular turnover in between laser sessions.

I would target the persistent pink-red marks with Vbeam (pulsed-dye laser), and the sharper shallow pits with focal Er:YAG laser edge blending. The photos suggest redness with fine, partly boxcar-like depressions, rather than a pattern dominated by large, deep scars.

First distinguish flat leftover redness from tender, raised acne that is still active. Active acne needs treatment first; settled vascular redness can be treated without simply waiting months for every mark to disappear. Vbeam reduces the red component, while Er:YAG blending softens individual scar rims—it does not fill the floor. If the shallow uneven texture extends across the patch, fractional Er:YAG resurfacing is an alternative to treating each edge individually.

I would treat the dominant concern first and add the other component once the initial reaction has settled. Compare matching photographs and the remaining contour before deciding on another session. The images are not enough to assign a reliable severity grade or label every small opening an ice-pick scar.

There is no clear target here for routine deep subcision or filler. Those become relevant if examination identifies tethering or a true volume deficit; TCA CROSS is for confirmed narrow, deep tracts. Keep sunscreen consistent and avoid picking or irritating scrubs. Laser treatment can cause temporary bruising, pigment changes or new scarring, so matching the treatment to redness versus contour matters more than choosing the strongest laser.
