Silver or Black MDX?

I’m torn between two CPO MDXs for around $40k OTD w/ Advance package

2022
Lunar Silver Metallic w/ Gray interior
63,469 miles

2024
Majestic Black Pearl w/ Parchment interior
69,325 miles

The catch is the 2024 is 7 hours away and the 2022 I have a friend at the dealership and it’s in my city

I’m not usually a silver fan but I think it looks good with the chrome finishes and blends them in nicely

In terms of the price difference, the 2024 feels like a better deal? But idk!

We already own a 2019 White RDX Advance w Espresso interior, but my husband’s car finally died so looking for something bigger and have narrowed down to these two!

I don’t love constantly washing my cars, so silver all day long for me. Black shows every flaw.

I do wish the silver was the 2024.

Black. Plus it’s still under warranty, correct?

Silver. Stays clean way longer. We have a silver and black one. I need to wash the black one all the time.

That’s a ton of miles for a 2024!

perhaps that's why it's the same price as the 2022? I mean technically they're both higher miles, but the 2022 is the first of that generation and what I can afford lol

I average 10k miles per year but def open to advice if an older one with less miles is smarter!

I mean if it’s all highway that can be a good thing. If you don’t mind black showing more dirt?

it's kind of hard to tell from the carfax, but just one owner and consistent service dates. the service locations they went to consistently were like 45 miles apart which made me wonder if it was a highway commute!

Be careful. I just bought a 2023 MDX SH-AWD 45k miles in January. We now at 53k miles and our infotainment center went out thankfully the fakra cable is under extended warranty. Turns out that wasn’t the problem. The sunroof seal went bad leaked water all in the back and fucked the amp and now the dealership is quoting over $4k in work.

Is the 24 a certified preowned?

Yes they both are CPO, but need to confirm what that means for coverage on both

I just did the same debate (grey versus parchment) picking out mine - I went with parchment as it had a certain warmth that the grey just felt lacking!

Curious what the price of the 2022 is? I have a 2022 that I’m done financing in a couple of months and I’m itching for something new.

they've been ranging from $37k-42k for Advance package around 40-65k miles

Thank you! Apologies I missed that it was the advance. I have the base AWD.

i just paid off my 2019 RDX and it is tempting but the trade in value just isn't worth it for what I paid! I paid $32k OTD in 2023 and got a KBB value for $18k this week lol

Both are timeless colors but one requires a bit more up keep in terms or cleanliness. I’d still vote for black

I like them both, but get a warranty if they are AWD

ooh why is that? are there benefits of non AWD?!

Silver. Black looks awesome but it will always be hotter and every scratch will show up. I have a 22’ with 61k miles.

Bro..70k miles....how much are they going for?

1

u/headswillroll30 2d ago

2024 Advance with low miles are going for much more lol

1

u/headswillroll30 2d ago

prob closer to 7k more, but for me that's paying 40kvs 50k OTD! technically we can afford 50k but just seems like a bad investment lol

for non CPO there are some 2024 Advance with 25k miles for 47k
