At least I can’t be upset with mine. Prikash, Martin, Langman didn’t even know if they would have a team. I’m honestly surprised we didn’t lose a lot more with the uncertainty. If my livelihood came from sport and the team I played for was treated the way they were- what a fucking hit by guilou- I would have been looking at options even if they are my home club.

Yikes, this could be a long season. We do not look good. Really sluggish to get back to cover the ccm runs and we can't seem to string more than a couple of passes together. Also I love Stephenson but she isn't a striker, she should be in middle pivoting play.

Yeah not much cohesion out there at all. I think the ventrans from last year will have a frustrating start to the season. Wellington and city games will be tough.

Yeah. Didn't like we brought her back. Seemingly has no energy right now either. Personally, I was hoping Hodgson would be pur new captain.

Genuinely every run Trimis has made so far has looked ridiculously dangerous. If we don't figure out how to shut her down, it doesn't matter how many she misses, the sheer volume of shots will end up with a couple going in

She’s genuinely such a fantastic player. If she can start finishing more chances herself she will be deadly. Her and Rasmussen last season were insane but you saw when we lost Rasmussen we dropped and then when we needed wins to make finals trimis, prikash and fuller being taken for the young Matilda’s we had nothing left. Hoping one of our new signings turns into a decent finisher but so far this game it’s looking like a quantity over quality for us to get the goals.

Yeah, early in the season of course but there's scary signs there. Familton and Halmarick both look scary good. Couple more games under their belts together and ccm is a finals team for sure

Oh my god trimis. My favourite since the preseason game against the phoenix the season we rejoined the league. She just keeps getting better.

Love the message on the back of these training shirts. Fucking love the new club going up next to the stadium with all profit going straight to the women’s team. I wish I could get there for the grand opening next week but I’ve been booked for months that day.

Was at the game today with my son - our first ever W league game. Overall super impressed and will be back.
The Roar looked a bit slower and like they had less endurance than the Mariners today. The Mariners team is full of super lean, athletic players who hit the Roar on the counter, running up and down and got in behind the defence. The Roar, with the exception of Punch and the RW (number 7) look to be more of a possession based and physical side.
The Mariners young striker also held the ball up really well, scored two, and her and the Mariners RW were extremely dangerous. The LB also put in some great crosses getting high up the pitch.
If the Roar can hold the ball more and perhaps drop the defensive line they will hopefully be okay.
But very impressed with the Mariners team.
