Cool Bottle Alert! Suitcase Amari Part 2
Part two of the suitcase amaro haul from the latest trip. We grabbed a couple bottles at Naples duty free, then hunted for amaro in Belgium. Not a great selection of amaro in Ghent, but a few interesting bottles that I’m definitely looking forward to.

I grabbed the AmaRè at Firenze duty free, and was pleasantly surprised. The tag on it called it “The English Garden” amaro, whatever that means. I got lots of forest, minty, herbal action, with a caramelly sweetness on the finish. I wrote down “tastes green”…. whatever THAT means!

Actually it’s a different Amarè I got. Same company, different SKU.

We tried it last night and yeah, I would agree with all those notes... and it was one of the two duty free bottles in Naples!

I know you shouldn't judge a book by its cover, but that is the best looking suitcase of amari I've seen. Some great labels on those bottles. Happy sipping.

Thanks! I have to admit that having great looking bottles in the collection is a big draw to collecting amari as well!
