London & Edinburgh recommendations

Love all things amaro!! Any bars with a strong amaro program (or your fav amaro cocktail), distilleries or bottle shops we should check out? Heading there in December!!

Hey Palu in Edinburgh.

Tons of amaro, does amaro flights. I only had amaro when there but they also are known for their cocktails.

Had a great time talking amaro with their bartenders when I was there.

Yep! I basically told them to surprise me with ones its unlikely I've had before. Told them the ones i enjoy, avoid the common ones.

Had 3 brand new never tried ones, and an extra free one from a small batch that was going away.

Its a great place for an amaro lover!

bar termini in soho does a bunch of oddball negroni variations, i think they have 5. once you've had them all there's not a lot else to do there and it's a tiny spot but the drinks are great and served in a very elegant way with an insanely pregnant meniscus

Termini is 100% worth it. They have 4 variations of negroni i thought but maybe 5, to assimilate an aging process using different methods for a shorter time. they also do a terroir martini which incredible

I still need to get to bar termini, but Swift, just across the street, also has decent selection of spritzes and amaro based drinks, though they are not strictly an amaro bar.

Also Amaro Bar in London had surprisingly few amaro drinks when I went a few years ago.

Added Swift to my map, too!

Hard not to recommend the Connacht Cocktail bar in London, one of the world greats. They have loads of Amaro and their Bloody Mary is the greatest in the world.

Haven’t heard of this place yet but apparently I’ve been living (and researching) under a rock! Looking forward to checking it out!

Bittersweet in Edinburgh - they have their own distillery Old Poison. Almost everything is made in house and food is really good too.

As above Hey Palu is great as well!

London has the Amaro bar - I would ask the bartenders there where you can find some more great amaro.

Connaught also like others said, although I'd get a martini there if possible. Satan's Whiskers & Happiness forgets are my fav more casual bars with great selections.

Edinburgh the only bar I know is Panda & sons, not sure what their amaro selection is like - but great bar altogether.
