I love how Rachel comes to care about Marco in her own way, and she Understands Marco's feelings. She Completely understands it, how you have that Parent that you are Extremely Close to and then suddenly they're gone and no longer in your life. With Her father living out of state he probably only comes around for the Big Holidays and Birthdays, so she gets wanting to keep them around. Whenever something happens with Visser 1 in the books like in book 15 and 30 Rachel is always the one to tell Marco "hey your mom could still be alive" she wants to keep him having hope that he could be reunited with his mom, because if she was in His shoes she'd do anything to reunite with her Dad, and we even saw this in book 7. Anyway that's just one of my favorite parts of the series.

Going through the series for the second time (first was in college, 12 years ago) and just finished book 18.
Ax had explained that the odds of a ship in Z space interacting with a morpher's displaced mass is so astronomically tiny it's never happened before. So how is it that the gang all ends up on the exact right ship headed to the exact right planet at the exact right time so that they can help win a battle that becomes a turning point in the war? I don't recall him ever taking credit, nor do the kids bring it up in the book, but that's gotta be the Ellimist intervening, right? He certainly has the ability, and subtly adjusting where their mass was in Z space to ensure it got caught up in the Ascalin's wake sure seems like something he'd do.
In any other book series I'd chalk it up to insane coincidence, but with a being like the Ellimist having an interest in the outcome of the war, it seems far more likely to me that things were subtly nudged into place.
Of course I don't remember if he goes on to take credit the next time they talk, rendering this post redundant, lol.

I’d prefer the books to be in good condition, with no missing pages, major damage, or broken bindings. I don’t need them to be sealed or in collectible condition.
Original promotional inserts aren’t necessary. I’m mainly interested in having all the books.
I’ve primarily searched eBay so far, but I’m hoping someone here might know of other places to look or have advice about finding a complete collection at a reasonable price.

Sabían que la película de Minecraft trata principalmente de los personajes intentando obtener el cubo morfico?

The Chee have the ability to kidnap Yeerks and trap them inside their bodies, keeping them alive with personal Kandrona and extracting their memories. Would technology like this not immediately end the yeerk’s need for living hosts?
They could have created robotic bodies for the yeerks to be permanently sealed inside of. They would never need a yeerk pool again, and they’d have no need to create controllers if their new bodies could experience sensations. It’s exactly what every good yeerk who got forced into the empire’s war out of desperation wanted.

I could literally cry with how much I love and adore this series - it's almost sick with how much I wish it were real. I am 38 years old and I plan to keep the entire set with me the rest of my life. I wish KA had never stopped writing them, or had continued after the beginning. I have an emotional attachment to this series - I genuinely feel for the characters. The Beginning really got to me, and the image of Ax with teeth! I know we are all fans but does anyone have an unhealthy attachment to Animorphs?

Because that was how old he was whenever he acquired the morph. Sorry if this is addressed in the last book, I'm going through a reread for the first time in a long time so I don't remember.

No spoilers for Animorphs or Axiom’s End: Different proposed alien species take their name from different fictional or real ships. So the Pequod, etc. One of the ships referenced is Rachel which seems a direct reference.
There are other minor similarities which suggest Animorphs may have played a part in her inspiration for the books, and Google says she is a fan.

I make tabletop roleplaying games (cooperative storytelling experiences, in the vein of Dungeons and Dragons). Last year, I won an art grant to make a project I've been stewing on for years, a game inspired by the Animorphs and CW-style teen dramas like Veronica Mars and Smallville.
In Glorydays, you play as actors on the set of a TV show trying to get renewed for a second season. Your actors are playing shapeshifting aliens who have infiltrated a local high school in order to better understand human culture before deciding whether or not to conquer the planet. Of course, other aliens are eyeing earth as well...
I'll be releasing the game later this year, but if you live near Bothell, WA, I'll be running four public, free teaching demoes of the game over the next month. Check it out!

So yeah 18 books in so far. Here are my thoughts. I mean I'm 18 books in and I'm not quitting yet I genuinely enjoy this. I mean holy cow what the kids are going through is just pretty yeah intense. I have read the first 16 books and the andalite Chronicles and the andalites gift
In really no particular order just kind of yeah here is my thoughts.
I have to say I don't like normally I'm very much wait and see normally I'm like okay we'll wait and see how the TV show is I do not judge a TV show based on a trailer or anything. But I honestly don't know if Disney can actually make this book series properly.
So I mean I'm trying to avoid spoilers but like I will read something and I might Google something and yeah so I mean like I know the basics you know like I have yet to read the book but I kind of know the basics on who or what the Ellimist is.
So just kind of some basic thoughts the book series is very entrenched in the 90 they reference stuff to the '90s and I mean book 16 were they are using the computers was very very 90s. I do find it funny that Ax was like it's only thousands of bps not Millions at least. And it's like yeah we are in the billions of bits per second now and the aliens in this book series would want something in the Millions. Also ax making the computer on unhackable yeah just kind of the Hollywood whole computer stuff made me kind of sigh.
One of the biggest suspension of disbeliefs I have and yes it was the '90s I mean I don't remember cameras being as big of a thing and I mean like security cameras. I mean when I was 9 years old in the 90s we went on a tour of a bank and they were talking about how they had security cameras and that was one of the few places that did. One of those things where if they make the show yeah I don't know they might need to address something or whatnot. Unless the show is going to be set in the 90s. I don't know.
So yeah book number 14 The Unknown yeah I guess they really wanted to make the military seem incompetent or something and also I'm going wouldn't that interrogation room have cameras. Yeah and the name the kids gave and the military personnel not knowing that they were obviously aliases. Having the device be an early alien toilet was pretty funny. I mean it was obvious like at least from my adult perspective and vast amounts of TV shows Etc that like it wasn't going to be anything important. It's way too early in the series for anything of importance like that.
Yeah reading the andalite Chronicles it's like they really wanted to make Chapman unlikable didn't they.
I made an earlier post about what books I could skip. And yeah anyone else reading this that is starting the journey book 11. Time travel Shenanigans make it to where the book just doesn't happen. From what I have read so far and what I Googled you can just skip that book.
I completely understand this is going to happen because yeah it's the way books and movies and TV shows kind of have to be. But the kids really seem to get lucky and there just seems to be several not necessarily Deus Ex machina's but just stuff along that line. Like in whatever book it was when visser one let them go to make visser three look bad. Or when they're underwater and again visser one and visser three are arguing. And also that one alien the Leeran I'm going okay so after this whole battle in that book why wasn't he telling visser one etc that the Animorphs are human?
Okay but yeah all in all I really do enjoy the series so far and I'm going to keep reading it. But those are just kind of the things that I'm thinking and are sticking out at the moment.
