Democrats plot major escalation of Ukraine war after midterm election | The Democrats are making clear behind the scenes that their central priority, should they win a majority in one or both houses of Congress, will be the escalation of the war against Russia

There is not a war against Russia...But ther is a defense of Ukraine...And it should be a high priority.

Umm. I'm pretty sure Russia invaded Ukraine. Wouldn't that more accurately be described as the Russian War against Ukraine?

It's complete nonsense to say the central focus of the Democrats will be the Ukraine war, stop it.

Well, putin did get trump elected twice, so if dems want to have a chance at power they need to limit foreign interference. putin is the biggest threat to democracy and truth.

They were supposedly "anti war" in the last election. Their god king promised no war and they were anti war. As soon as he starts tossing bombs around the planet like candy and releasing war crime compilations to sick music on official government social accounts they immediately changed their worldview.
They watched their senile hero drop bunker busters on a sovereign nation and proclaim he completely destroyed their nuclear capacity and cheered. Then they watched their emperor drag us into full scale war with the same country six months later under the pretense that they were merely weeks away from popping out fully functional nuclear weapons. They didn't ask any of the obvious questions. They immediately accepted their new prescribed reality.
Now these same knuckle draggers and their media echo chambers are going to tell them all the scary scary thing these unpredictable and violent democrats will do, and they will slurp that slop right up and not ask the obvious questions.
You want to know what will escalate the war in Ukraine? If you started a war in the middle east and massively disrupted the global oil supply driving up prices for Russian oil. Bonus points if you start rolling back restrictions on Russia selling that oil.

Well let’s hope so. Trump is playing solitaire and keeps pulling the queen of diamonds.

They would be crazy to escalate any war while Hegseth is in charge. We will lose everything.

We have the people in place to deliver weapons to NATO.
No one trusts us anymore anyway. Let NATO be the intermediary.

Yeah, we can just send money to NATO. Let them buy their own weapons and supplies. Of course Elon refusing to send targeting information is another issue. He needs to be brought before Congress and castigated. Hopefully prosecuted as well.

Support Ukraine, not Israel. America should not be supporting aggression in any capacity.

it's weird how both the far right and far left blame Ukraine. I guess Ukraine didn't get all the Yandex data centers

Good. Russia, specifically Putin, needs their ass kicked. Support for Ukraine!

The war in Ukraine is a much better war than the needless war against Iran.

Russia has been the main culprit in the right of far right figures and conspiracies. So makes sense, but the affordability crisis should be the focus.

"Escalation of the war"? You mean killing Russian orcs?
That's a good thing op.

u/phincster 1d ago

The American people are screwed. Whoever they vote for, it's constant war

u/DM_Voice 1d ago
Imagine claiming that actually taking the measures needed to support an ally’s successful defense against an aggressor, rather than constantly hindering them so the aggressor can keep attacking, is “constant war”.

Well, pootin isn't ending that war that he started, so it basically comes down to Ukraine winning it so decisively that russia either has an internal coup, poitin dies, or something catastrophic like a working nuclear warhead goes off. Multiple national armies of Ukraine's real allies waging battles with russky troops can also work, although maybe not ideal.

Thats an insane take. Russia isnt turning on putin. If another country gets involved that's probably worst case scenario for the world.
This is such a weird war because west cant support too much but needs to support enough to drive back russia. Best case is putin gets assassinated but with how paranoid he is that seems impossible.
Ukraine just seems like they will be in perpetual war until he dies or they agree to give up territory.
