Jon Ossoff doesn’t back abortion ‘up until and past birth.’

- Sen. Jon Ossoff, D-Ga., said he supports the federally protected right to abortion that was established in Roe v. Wade.
The Supreme Court’s 1973 ruling in Roe determined that a person could choose to have an abortion until the fetus had the ability to live outside the womb, which usually happens between 24 and 28 weeks after conception. It allowed abortions after viability when the life or health of the mother was at risk.
Ossoff cosponsored and voted for some bills that allow abortions after 24 weeks when the mother’s life is at risk. They did not call for willful termination of a newborn’s life, which is illegal in every state.

These guidelines need to be emphasized. Trump constantly blabbed about post birth abortions—that never happened. That is murder, not abortion.
