Samsung Refrigerator Cleaning

I own a Samsung refrigerator, maybe two years old (make and model set forth in the pictures). Issue is I’m trying trying to clean the bottom shelf above the drawers. and cannot disengage the bottom glass shelf from the water filter assembly below. Videos\manual show two plastic tabs below the glass, which you push in to disengage the section. I have tried everything short of breaking it with a hammer, and tabs do not budge. Any ideas?

In the center just above where the filter goes. Look under the glass and you’ll see what looks like a little button on both sides. Push them in while lifting up on the shelf. I usually use a small screwdriver to push them in.

So you’ve done it successfully? Don’t break the tabs?

Many times. I’ve never broken one in any of my customers homes. I mean it’s plastic so it has a breaking point but I’ve never reached that point personally. Make sure are pulling up and not holding the same piece down while lifting. Sounds dumb but have caught myself trying to leverage on the piece in trying to lift
