African Discussion Why do so many Africans on the Internet hate on Ibrahim Traoré's Bukina Faso?
Especially Ghanaians and Nigerians, they be criticising Ibrahim Traoré as if bro's the worst Statesman in west Africa lmfao, what a cope.
Kinda sad, don't get me wrong you can criticise the, but most of the criticism I saw online reekes of jealousy.

Where's the jealousy? Ghana is more developed than Burkina Faso. Are Ghanians supposed to be jealous of a military dictatorship?
One which has been clamping down on journalistic freedoms

I’ve been quite vocal about this issue. I have family members who suffered under military rule, so when I see young men (predominantly) attracted to the macho display of might instead of diplomacy and the voices of ordinary citizens, I feel compelled to speak out. Also the Traoré dictatorship is being propped up by the Wagner group and therefore Russia who do not have Africa’s best interests at heart (no foreign governments do!) Africans are being coaxed into becoming canon fodder in the Russia-Ukraine war and Putin wants access to raw materials to prop up his expensive war and also become a powerful adversary against western-style democracy. He wants another Cold War and will drag African nations into this stand off once again.
The function of the military is not to rule. The function of the military is to defend the nation against hostile powers. Military leaders who want power and control do a disservice to their people.

Honestly a lot of Nigerians glaze but a lot definitely do hate him. Most of the hate definitely come from previous leaders the country has had.

My timeline is the opposite, and it's mostly Nigerians glazing him. The trick is to ignore any posts you dislike (don't even open them to see the comments) and you'll eventually end up seeing none.

They’re eager to guzzle more Western slop down their throats from the very people who despise them - I say this and I myself am a Nigerian, lol

He has more glazers than haters. Facebook for example is full of his glazers.
