[VA] Teacher esrd fmla question
24-year veteran teacher with a transplanted kidney that after 20 years is slowly down to a function of about 10%. Is it possible to work the 4 morning classes and planning period from 8 to 2 and fmla the last class of the day to due fatigue and doctors appointments and keep full-time benefits?

Hi there! I recently had surgery for gallbladder removal on October 8th, 2026 and I would like some guidance on my STD being denied by New York Life. I work in Florida.

was it laparoscopic? If so, did your doctor write you out for more than the waiting period of STD? Most STD plans have 7 to 14 day waiting before anything is paid. And I know that the recovery time for that surgery isn’t all that long if you have laparoscopic/day surgery (personal experience was less than a week recovery while having four week old newborn twins)

This s called intermittent leave. If you are eligible and can certify, the time can’t be denied.
