What's an incredibly petty reason you would refuse to date someone, even if everything else about them was perfect?

Their name. I can be turned on or off by names. Some names can increase my attraction to a person and some can do the opposite.

as extension of this, if a guy has an unfortunate surname, especially if we want to have kids. e.g. if your last name is wiener or cox i am not subjecting myself nor my progeny to that

Especially if they have a first name that is the same as your deceased Mom. Not sure if that would be a deal breaker but it would be uncomfortable at family get togethers

When I first met my wife I asked her how she spelled her name. When she told me I was said to myself “oh thank God, it’s the good way. I can date you.” If it was spelled an alternate way it would’ve been a hard pass.

Oh this is me all the way. I’ve always said that even if I found my absolute soulmate, if they had a name I didn’t like I wouldn’t even consider them.

I’ve also told guys before that if I didn’t like their last name I wouldn’t take it and I wouldn’t think twice about it.
