9 u/Spider-Ian 5h ago I seent a whole heap o' terrible grandmas in my day. 4 u/sailingg 4h ago Omg I'm an English teacher too and sometimes I have to consciously refrain from correcting my friends. One time one of them said "could of" in text and I almost lost it. How do you feel about people saying "I've never went to"? 1 u/mustbethedragon 4h ago It makes me twitch! But I can overlook it easier than "I seen." If "could of" happened more than once in a text, I would have to correct it. 3 u/GillyGoose1 3h ago "On accident", hearing/seeing it is rage-inducing. I am not an English teacher, but still 😂 2 u/Strong_Ebb_9953 1h ago lol I say this all the time cuz I wanna sound like a mining town hick. I bet a whole generation growing up on looney tunes drives u crazy 0 u/CaptainAmerica_2026 4h ago Whenever someone starts a sentence with 'I seen...', I can pretty much guarantee you the sentence won't end with 'the inside of a book.'
