What's an incredibly petty reason you would refuse to date someone, even if everything else about them was perfect?

I dumped a guy because he didn't like onions. I love to cook, I love good food. Sorry dude, I can't live without onions.

Now this comment is what this thread is about even if it makes me mad as a person with food aversions 😂 thankfully my boyfriend can tolerate my dislike for certain cooking styles of onions

I had kind of the opposite one, I knew I hit the jackpot when the awesome Mexican girl I was dating said she didn’t like chorizo. Yeah…wifed her up lmao

I can deal with things like caramelized onions. Some salsas or a pico are fine. But typically raw onions are a very hard no from me. It's such a strong, overpowering flavor that just stands out and takes over. If I order a burger with no onions and they forget, for example, it's ruined. Even if I remove the raw onion, I can still taste it in every bite.

I don’t blame you because onion haters seem to be the most sensitive of all the food haters. At least the onion haters I know are. I could not have an onionless household.

My partner is allergic to onions. It’s difficult to choose what to eat a lot of the time cause I put onions on almost everything. Can’t just leave them out in most cases. 😭
