What was considered completely normal when you were growing up but seems unusual today?

Sticking your skin with baby oil and soaking your hair in lemon juice and sitting in the sun.

Proximity being a huge determinant factor on remaining friends. Now there's lots of options to keep in touch with people, but back in the day, it was actually pretty common to lose touch with people easily.

Oh your friend moved across the state? Well, maybe you'll meet them in college. Because they're gone now.

Your best friend changed schools? Well, I guess now you'll see them three times a year at best.

Remember that girl you liked from Summer Camp? The one with the pretty smile, her dad got a new job in the spring and she moved. She's out of your life forever.

Insulting someone by calling them gay.
