Truer words have never been spoken.

I am a straight white male millennial.

I get up early in the morning, go to work, and pay taxes so that clowns and criminals can live off welfare.

I am basically a slave already.

I work every day, 6 days a week, with 1 hour spare time each day. I can barely afford groceries and gas, I am single, and have nothing to look forward to in life.

I take it back, I am worse off than a slave, because at least slaves had guaranteed housing and even had a partner and had a chance to reproduce.

Back when millennials were a young generation and all over the internet, we didnt have any of this political agenda bs and modern diversity stuff, so idk why the guy blames millennials exclusively

In truth it’s rich kids. So it’s really fat millennial rich kids.

When you grow up wealthy like that you are challenged a lot less, so you are less likely to develop skills. Mainly because most things will be handed to you.

Also rich people like that have a different mind set on how to behave. If you meet a fat millennial truck driver he probably won’t be afraid to call you a slur. However, rich people are taught to preserve their image at all cost. Therefore, rich people will lie and pretend to be something they are not most of the time. Which also leads to them supporting causes they really don’t care about and it eventually leads to them sacrificing their creativity.

That’s why you see this behavior so prominently in celebrities and streamers. They care more about their own image compared to their own creativity. Basically some kind of weird emotional chameleon.

All of this ideological nonsense injected into games is so parasitic. There’s a reason it’s thrown into already established IP, bc it already has a built in audience and the writers piggyback on its success. Original IP would be DOA.

u/AmountPotential9992 WHAT A DAY... 17h ago

Correct, people forget that they tried to make their own IP and not only people didnt give it the time of day, but whenever they did, they got memed to oblivion. They can't create anything of substance, just steal and destroy

It’s ironically the same exact reason why hardcore Christian media always struggled to find an audience and make a profit - people can pick up that they’re being preached to pretty quick and don’t want to be lectured in their ENTERTAINMENT

u/AmountPotential9992 WHAT A DAY... 16h ago

Oh no doubt and funny you mentioned that because I put it in the same category with this nonsense. They all fail to understand that escapism in healthy doses is good for the mental state and allows people to think clearly. If I'm working 8-12hrs, the last thing I need is someone talking down to me like I'm a child and they dont know me in any form or fashion

I think for music, if you want to have heavy religious themes it needs to be introspective. Not like you are preaching to everybody the gospel, but rather how through your struggles you found God maybe. Like God can't be the central theme, but you can include it as maybe how you personally went through trauma and found peace. Like Creed for example uses heavy Christian themes, but they aren't thought of as a "Christian" band because its not the central theme of their music (that just being their personal struggles and experiences in general).

1

u/Azidamadjida 8h ago

Agreed. There’s actually some Christian bands that end up having some legit good songs for this very reason because it’s relatable - it’s just people sharing their experiences which everyone can get and then saying what their solution to it was.

Universality - that’s the key to (shocker) broad appeal. It’s why out of all the trans movies they’ve made I Saw The TV Glow is the one that gets the most respect - because it’s not just talking about being trans the whole time, it’s about the fear of missing out on the opportunity to live the life you feel you should be living. And that’s an idea that can appeal to a very broad amount of people because it’s not about any message or ideology, it’s about a very relatable human emotion

Change games to entertainment, because it's all media.

3

u/JBCTech7 REEEEEEEEE 13h ago

its not like they don't try original IPs. And they fail every single time. Like that dustborn game. That's the only one i can think of offhand.

u/sigmatw 9h ago

Lets be honest here, American Conservatives and anti-woke people have abandoned media as a whole production wise for over a decade at this point, a lot of the reason wokeness seems to always win over anti-wokeness boils down to anti-woke media being next to nonexistent attempts to make it wise.

Sure, you got Space King, but for every Space King you got stuff like a dozen Lady Ballers and The New Norm. At that point I am pretty sure woke dominance has more to due with anti-woke media conceding from the start over anything inherit with woke creators.

You're missing a word in "fat millennial [women]"

Who hired them?

It was men.

We should have gatekept our hobbies better

45

u/tehnemox 16h ago

I will say it: #NOTALLMILLENIALS

Trust me, the rest of us are sick of them too

11

u/cool_username32123 16h ago

Most definitely.

There are millennials who are normal people and not activist weirdos, all companies need to do is fire the activists and hire those instead.

12

u/MagMar_TunDohWeg 15h ago

He said fat millennials

1

u/FrosttheVII 14h ago

I'd say more of "Fat Gen X". Millenials haven't really been able to do much in this economy/society due to Boomers/GenX gatekeeping

-1

u/Tall-Sorbet-3987 16h ago

That’s not very inclusive.

10

u/tehnemox 15h ago

Inclusivity is how we ended up where we are now

u/R1v3rm4n 16h ago

Stargate is up next to be completely disemboweled by the woke. Amazon refused to make it non-woke so they took the IP away from the original creators of the show and gave it to a woke chick.

Now we're 99,9999% certain one of the 3 or 4 members of the new SG-1 team will be gay, another be black, and the leader will be a chick. And every episode will be about how every world hates one or the other or is a woke utopia threatened by a white dude.

13

u/softhack 16h ago

Couldn't say it better myself that they only see success with already existing IPs with established audiences.

Everything they built from scratch has bombed hard and don't ever believe them when they say said established IP "was always woke."

3

u/tes_befil 15h ago

They said that about baldurs gate series and bg3 was only about a thousand times gayer and woke than the first 2.

7

u/softhack 15h ago

The game's original character creator had explicit male and female so we know a lot of the woke content was shoehorned in. Second, put that game in the hands of any other developer less experienced in CRPGs and they would fumble. A lesser developer wouldn't let you outright merc that vampire twink the first chance you get.

I already expected how well the game would play after playing Divinity Original Sin.

The game succeeded despite being woke, not because of it. You'd have to make an absolutely amazing game if even absolute chuds could look past it.

to be fair, this is a problem with gen x as well

14

This is one of the best articulated speeches of how the majority of people feel about these peeps.

12

u/zenethics 16h ago

Being fat is a sign of poor self control or ignorance to basic stuff like how calories work. It all tracks.

2

u/palmdieb 12h ago

Being on certain meds for a long time can also do the trick.

Man's got a point. May he never shut up.

Put a chef hat on that man.

Who is this? I need to give him all my follows...

8

u/TurboLobstr 15h ago

They have thoroughly ruined every franchise I used to enjoy. Nothing has been untouched.

8

u/whiskeythreeniner 15h ago

I hear no lies.

u/Broad-Ad-9019 16h ago

I 100% agree with everything he’s saying and I hate that my favorite franchise of all time, Halo has been co-opted and destroyed by this weird idiotic morality of the people designing the games.

I don’t really know how to explain how I feel about one thing he said though but I’ll try and maybe yall can help me flesh out the point better.

I think it’s 100% a-ok to dog on fictional characters and how they look when it feels like a weird insert or it really panders to a “modern” audience, and I’m sure when we say, for example

“Mags is a ugly butch lesbian”

But I don’t think the person they’re modeled after is ugly. Maybe not conventionally attractive. And a lot of arguements for her use pictures that say she’s actually pretty and badass so she fits.

MAGS AS A FICTIONAL CHARACTER SUCKS
LAUFEY AS A CHARACTER SUCKS

But that being said I think the actors playing them are chill and don’t deserve any hate.

But I guess it circles around to they’ve been purposefully made unattractive by the design team and that’s disingenuous. Which again is why I agree with what is being said. Idk thanks for listening to my Ted talk

4

u/Daedelous2k 12h ago

The biggest takeaway here is that they infect established franchises because they know their bile is stuff people won't give even a second thought to otherwise. Their anchor is taking what people like and turning it into a shadow of it's former self.

My boy is cooking with lard... or the lard itself.

5

u/Pauson 16h ago

Most of the examples given are written, produced and directed by boomers and gen x, not millenials.

4

u/ImNotAndreCaldwell 15h ago

Hey... Im a fat millenial 😢

4

u/whiskeythreeniner 15h ago

Same. But at least i'm not a woman.

TBF

Ellie was confirmed to be gay in the dlc of the first game

I didn't really have a problem with that specific part, that said, whoever is even remotely responsible for any other decision that lead to the second game being what it is needs to lose his job and never be hired again

3

u/lanric 12h ago

That's all on the game director. Ive removed the name of him from my memory. He pushed it even harder in the show.

GenZ is the first generation with general generation-wide IQ decline. its the FIRST generation that has a lower IQ than the previous generation. Think about that for a second.

Hey Alexa, how do I like a Reddit post twice?

0

u/CMD_Neopolitan 17h ago

In defense of Last of Us, Ellie was already a lesbian in part 1.

-2

u/BlackHandKUR 11h ago

Lost me at gears cause Mags isn’t the main character and the still they used to assume she’s gay (she’s gay but it’s never really brought up), that character is auntie. She’s a community leader who everyone calls auntie and is more a mother to Mags than a lover. Which leads me to think that no one actually played the game cause if yall did you’d see how masculine the game actually is.
