Remember, a few months ago Trump imposed a sanction on anyone importing Russian oil where the importers will have 100% tariff slapped onto them

Geopolitics are a lot more nuanced than this. This is a shallow, disingenuous meme (but it is funny.)

You know, I still strongly believe he is/was a much better choice than Kamala, but his second term he has done so many retarded things that it's mind boggling.

And that's the issue many have with the US
Are these really all the US has as options for president? Honestly might find a better candidate in a mental asylum at this point

u/Absolice 8h ago
Hopefully Rubio for next president.

True, Kamala would make usa weak, i also wanted trump because it force Europe to be "oh shit usa wont help us, we need to be strong alone"
-12
u/Ru88erduck 11h ago
Absolutely not. You can say alot about Kamala, but at least she's not a traitor.
-3
u/Azteco 3h ago
I cant believe people genuinely think Kamala was the worse choice.

u/Alphastorm2180 3h ago
Gas prices were high under biden because they restricted supply, inflation got up to 9% (its nowhere near that high, and we had 10 million illegals flood the border. Iran had a clear pathway to a nuclear weapon. Say what you want about trump but kamala wouldve been so much worse.

u/Seienchin88 3h ago
How is he then in any shape or form better?
I am not American but I also don’t have a unreasonable hate boner for American conservatives and I absolutely get how Trump was elected in 2016 but how could you believe Kamala would do any worse than him in 2024…?

It's almost like Russia funded Iran and Houthie to pressure USA into Russian oil

u/Pilfercate 12h ago
Russia can supply Iran with munitions and technology. They can't float the Iranian economy while their own suffers greatly. Being given missiles doesn't help Iran pay their military to fire them. Iran needs money and nobody is going to give it to them.

So Germany is funding the Russian Army in Ukraine right?

German gas imports from Russia is zero since 2022

Except the LNG purchased from Russia and the roundabout method of bringing russian gas in from other countries so they can claim they aren't importing anything through the pipelines tied directly to russia.

Same with brand clothing - made in china, labeled in Italia = 100% Italian, oil/gas... Old scheme

German gas imports from Russia is zero since 2022
Let's us all take a moment to just remember how the German's felt about this prior to 2022.
Yea, Germany can shove it, they should never have been on the verge of becoming energy dependent on an "enemy", and if they didn't feel like Russia was an enemy, they should have left NATO.

Usa has its own oil, why would it buy from Russia...
3
u/Scarab_Kisser 3h ago
although usa has it's own oil and a lots of it, it's more profitable to sell oil to other countries for a higher price than the domestic market could pay.
that's why if russia sells oil to the other countries instead, the price of gas in america decreases, that's simple economics

Also backstabs Europe (a life long Ally) with this deal and neglecting Ukraine.
I can't stand when people say this. Europoor's were the ones sucking up to Russia and becoming more energy dependent on them, the entire reason Russia knew they could invade Ukraine is because they knew Europe could do nothing about it.
Like do people actually have really short memories or something? France was literally selling Russia military equipment even after Russia took Crimea back in 2014. Many European countries were becoming energy dependent on Russia. The US literally called them all out on all this multiple times I still remember when Trump said this in a speech and a bunch of German's just laughed in his face.
The vast majority of NATO countries "backstabbed" the US by not maintaining their militaries and now want to act like they are in the right. What a joke. They only "care" about Ukraine now, because they don't want to have to deal with it themselves. That is all this is, literally no one wins from this war. It is going to be hilarious if the AFD and Le Pen get in, because what on earth is the EU going to do with actual more "pro-Russian" groups in power.

The USA was part of deals that benefited others significantly more than the USA. Since WWII the USA has developed a culture where it has to help the world and expect little to nothing in return. So that life long ally has been more or less taking advantage of the USA's generosity and is now very upset that the USA has said no more unless its also going to be 50/50 or better on the side of the USA.
Growing up i remember even my grandparents saying that they are getting sick of their tax dollars not staying in the USA and it has only gotten worse and worse. That was almost 30 years ago. Europe has genuinely been that friend that only hangs out if they are not the one paying for drinks. The might get an appetizer here or there but thats if they feel generous.

I wonder what continent outside north america bought the absolute majority of american made services and products in exchange for having eachothers backs.

Wonder what countries were becoming energy dependent on Russian energy, were even selling military equipment to the Russian's (looks at France), whilst also being in NATO and failing to even meet the 2% NATO figure that was put in place back in 2014.
Yea, we all really had each others "backs" didn't we guys.

100% agree with you. But this is not the way. We're talking about human lives. I'm happy that Trump forced us to pay what were supposed to pay in NATO. But American dollars are now getting funneled into Iran via Russia to kill America soldiers. While alienating Europe once again. Im lost for words..

"Expects little or nothing in return“ - wtf? Do we live on the same planet?
The U.S. got in return its hegemony which brought incredible wealth to the U.S. in form of trade and technological dominance (imagine the Googles, Amazons and Microsofts only being restricted to the American market with everyone using their own local variants in protected markets) and never before seen stockmarket highs as everyone invests into American stocks. Hollywood would also not nearly be as big, profitable and workplace creating if American movies would be restricted to its own market.
The U.S. is in a much better position than most countries to be independent of others (rubber and some rare earths being the only missing resources) but much of the American wealth is from its geopolitical power nowadays. A way back is impossible/ extremely difficult as you have seen by Trump completely missing his goal…

He’s definitely got faults but at least he’s got the borders shut down- for now, at least.
If the commies cheat their way to another election win, they’ll immediately open up the borders and flood us, even worse than they did before.

u/SpreadEagle48 “Why would I wash my hands?” 10h ago
Wild to use the word commies like that when Trump is trying his best to be buddies with Russia, the communist poster child

u/1MilProblems 6h ago
Putin isn’t even Communist nor is his country. A simple google would tell you that buddy.

u/Late_Stage-Redditism 12h ago
Probably the weakest and least respected president by foreign adversaries since Jimmy Carter. Putin takes one call to this guy and he does what Russia wants. Xi Jinping wishes he had that hotline.

We also gave $350 billion to Ukraine to fight a dumb proxy war with Russia.

Us has to buy Russian oil. With war on iran there is huge fuel deficit. Imagine what would happen if Europe had no oil even for a week. Allies would turn very quickly on us and put pressure to finish the war and trump does not want a massive L on his presidency that he considers his legacy
2
u/SPLUMBER 5h ago
Guys, we just HAVE to buy Russian oil so we can continue our war, which will only stretch out for longer due to Iran getting funding from Russia! There’s absolutely positively no other option we can do here, because we can’t possibly acknowledge that our President made an error!
