Yo! I moved here from San Antonio last year and I have been struggling to find friends. This never used to be a problem in hs/college, but after graduating my circle has been gradually shrinking and then completely disappeared after my move to Auburn. My wife and I are both on the introvert side so it has been difficult to get out of our comfort zone and meet people. Neither of us are in school and coworkers just don't cut it. I personally like reading, video games, hiking, lifting, tennis and cooking among other things. I guess I am looking to get to know people who are in the same boat as me or if anyone has any recommendations for places/events to go to to meet people around town.

I would love to get some graduation photos done, but I just can’t pay $400-$500 dollars like a lot of the individuals I’m seeing. Do you have any recommendations for good photographers under that price point? I intended to split the session with one other person if possible.

My family of 4 and I (kids age 3 and 5) moved to Nashville 3 years ago from memphis. And it’s … fine. Don’t get me wrong . It’s a nice area with plenty to do, it’s just not clicking for us . We have some family in Auburn and keep joking maybe we will move there, but part of me is serious. The idea of a smaller town is appealing and my husband could get a less stressful job because we could buy a much less expensive house. I hate to make a change again, but it sort of seems like it would be a breath of fresh air. I don’t know… something about our life right now just feels off. Anyways, a long winded way of asking is Auburn a good place for a young family? I’ve always liked a bigger city, but I think i would enjoy Auburn even though it’s a small town. Give me the pros and cons! Also, by husband went to Auburn so he already loves it.

hi all Auburn people I am writing hoping someone who is at Auburn now but was originally deferred EA1 or someone with understanding of the admission process can comment and tell me advice or their experience. I applied EA1 OOS from a public school and got deferred I have a 4.43 W 3.83 UW and 95.6 cumulative I’m 29/400 and have a really week act: 25 but I have taken 19 AP IB classes. Those are my stats I applied non profit studies and philanthropy major with a stacked resume. Basically I am lost, auburns my dream but I hate the idea of waiting so long till regular to find out I saw a lot of tiktoks saying people got in last year after being deferred the next EA round and didn’t have to wait till RD I was wondering if there is a hack to that and how I could get that or if anyone thinks I’ll get in in general. I want all the advice on how to make myself stronger clearly I know the act score is my week spot a lot but I really can’t change it I re took yesterday and my test anxiety just is horrible. I’ll see what I get and hopefully can summit that super-scored this is only my 2nd ever. If anyone has any advice about what to do submit or even write for the statement please comment! Statement wise it asks about hard work does anyone know what they are looking for? And would it be helpful to address the ACT score? I fully understand that’s what’s keeping me out

Hello, I am a high school senior who applied EA rd 2, and I plan on applying to the Aviation Program. My question is: If I am selected for "Conitnued Review," when will I recieve the final decision? And furthermore, if I don't hear back until after Jan. 9 (that's when the aviation secondary application deadline is), will I still be able to submit my secondary application? It mentions that the secondary application is due by Jan 9 and can't be extended, so if I don't hear back until after Jan 9, do I have any options? In other words, if I get se;ected for "continued review," will my aviation chances be gone?

Hi! I’m currently an OOS senior applying to Auburn, and I wanted to know my chances of getting into EA. I plan to major in animal science, I have a 21 ACT score ( planning to have it improve ), 4.1 GPA, 12 AP classes ( among other rigorous classes) , 4 years of var cheer + social officer, founder of volunteering service club with over 120 members gaining over 200 service hours, 110+ volunteer hours, Founder of hat business, internship at vet clinic gained 50+ hours of experience, worked at doggy daycare, worked at gymnastics gym for 4+ years, NHS, Link crew ( helping freshmen ), etc. I also actively email the admissions counselors with questions, PLEASE AUBURN IS MY TOP SCHOOL! I Know its mostly my ACT score that's bad, but id rather be defered then rejected

Hi I’m wondering if any girls here in Auburn have tried/know any good laser hair removal places? I want to get it, but don’t want to waste my money if it won’t work.

My husband has been offered a position at Auburn and is reviewing the benefits package. He comes from private industry and is enrolled in a fully insured health insurance plan. He has noticed that Auburn has a self insured health plan. Not being familiar with that, he researched self insured plans and found that typically the health benefits are better and the rates are lower than fully insured plans since the middle man is cut out. However, in comparing his current plan to the Auburn plan, he has noticed the Auburn rates are substantially higher and offer less coverage/benefits. Have the Auburn rates recently increased or have they always been high relative to fully insured private industry plans? For those who have been enrolled in a private industry health plan in the past and now have Auburn health insurance benefits, have you found that Auburn’s health insurance benefits are better or worse than what you had with previous employers?
