Need help with decoding VIN

My friend is an owner of Audi 80 B3, he needs to find his paint code. Sadly the factory option sticker has been allegedly lost, so the only thing left is the VIN.

Are there any VIN decoders that can find the options for the car? Or maybe, if there are any other places where the factory option stickers are present.

the paint code is not inside the VIN, it only tells basic info like model year and engine, not the options. audi 80 b3 from that era usually has the sticker in the spare wheel well, under the trunk carpet, sometimes glued on the boot lid itself. also check the service book if he still has it, often the dealer wrote the paint code there in first pages. if all gone, maybe try forums for b3 owners, the color choices were limited so a photo of the car can help narrow it down

Thanks, sadly all of the stickers are basically gone. Also the service books are gone-vehicle was imported from a different country to his country decades ago, and this car has seen... Things. So yeah, the only thing i have left-is to try to find the color thru looking for all colors for his model year. I also have a Dutch brochure of the 80 B3, its 08.1989. If that will not help, he will just go to a person who paints cars and he will try to find matching color

On a car that old the color code is useless. New paint will be a MUCH different color. If they’re not repainting the whole car then they need someone who can match and blend the CURRENT color.
