She had emergency surgery yesterday and needed blood transfusions due to a cancerous mass bursting inside of her. She's got a long road to recovery.

The weather has been very nice in my area lately so I’ve been sleeping with the windows open. Boy was that a mistake.

It was probably 1am or so and I saw a bat fly in and land near my boy. Needless to say it bit him, so I took him to the emergency vet and they did all they could but to no avail. This is irreversible. He is a vampire now.

I think cattle dogs and very ADHD people are a match made in heaven.

We recently rescued an ACD/border collie mix puppy from the shelter. This is our first ACD mix, and it's coming with a major adjustment for us both. We've had all sorts of breeds, currently all Chihuahuas. Our 6 month old girl is so smart and overall well behaved. But we're having trouble with her barking almost obsessively at our two senior dogs. Unfortunately, our two senior dogs don't seem interested in getting to know our puppy. They just want to be left alone, but she follows them around and barks non-stop. She doesn't bark at anything or anyone else.

Any advice on how to curb this behavior? I've read that having a "job" helps, but I'm not sure what that means.
