HELP! I have a question. Question about Recent Repair

Hi all!

I just got my Honda CRV-15 front bumper fixed at an auto body shop and noticed this part seems to be off. What do you recommend I should do and is it an easy fix? I’m not sure what could have caused this to happen? Or am I just being paranoid and this is the correct alignment? The car looks great overall and I’m very happy with it.

Thank you!

Definitely not supposed to be that way. You pay good money for body work. Call them and tell them your swinging by to have it seated properly.

Good to know. The parts they used were CAPA aftermarket. Will that affect the way it is seated?

That certainly could affect the parts fit. The aftermarket parts tend to fit "close" but not as good as OEM. You should take it back to the shop, point out the fit issue to them and give them a chance to make it better. Please keep in mind, however, that there is a limit in what they can do to make non-fitting parts fit well together. Your insurance company saved a few pennies by using those parts, and while the shop may have good techs, they cannot make chicken soup out of chicken shit.

Thank you! Would they need to take off the bumper or can they just add on the clips same day?
