You can really see how much love they are pouring into this game!!!
New characters look absolutely SICK. Korra’s level 7 is exactly what I was hoping for. The animation is clearly not finished, but it’s gonna be sick!

I'm a Norra main, so I will tak about her lol. Her new super is directly from the animation, when she fights vs herself in the swamp, with the background being a reference to where Zaheer fought and imprisoned her. That ground chain sweep is also a new move, and seems to be a new Cirtical Hit. Really cool super.
She also seems to have some new routes from the air, since I don't think you could do jA, JB, J2C and land quick enough for a pickup, so they seem to have tuned it (unless that is a new C instead of the current one, we won't be able to know so soon lol).
What we see of her here also confirms she is a more "reused" character than Avatar Aang by nature and share some moves with base Korra, which is why her design is not completely changed (no fur pelt removed), since they only changed those slightly and changed her hair in them, which why they managed to update two characters in a single patch. But to be honest, with nostalgia out of the way, I think this desigg is cooler, since it allows for more moving and flowing parts in the animation.
On a side note, this all also probably confirms the theory was supposed to release now and not July: we will now have all the base roster characters finished, UI done, trianing, combo trials, ranked and lobby and spectator mode. The game is now officially complete.

It's Nightmare cause in the animation, she is just a hallucination in Korra's mind, PTSD from when Zaheer poisons her and forces her to go into Avatar State, almost killing her. In the game, she is manifested phisically by Vaatu, which is how they explain her in Story mode and her having a physical form other people can fight.

I assume the super they show is a level 7, or is this level 4?
There’s also that one coming in which she hits the ground with her fist and boulders float into the air. It was shown at Pax West. Which one do you think this will be?

Yes, I'm assuming this is the LV7, too much animation involved, and the other one is gonna be the new LV4. Which is a huge detail for me as a fan, since while the other super is a little bit more impactful, this is the LAST thing we ever see Norra do in the series, so it is super fitting for a final move.

I main Norea too and jA, JB, J2C and land quick enough for a pickup is one of my main routes using the dark avatar Unalaq support. It's tight timing but definitively possible.

I want to play this game so bad, but last time I did it didn't support my fight stick. This was on the xbox version and I have a hori fighting stick alpha. Not like it's some obscure third party stick.
Has this been addressed yet?

Not sure, but I remember a patch about legacy support for PS4 controllers, not sure if it affected Xbox as well. I don't see why it wouldn't, tho.

Don’t quote me on this but I think they’ve addressed the controller issues. I’m on pc with a Mayflash though.

Its actually being used on my PC. But yeah, a lot of controllers seem to be recognized by steam as Xbox, for instance my Gamecube and Ps5 controllers are recognized as Xbox controllers lol.

Yeah I’m with you, sorta. I have an Xbox but I would much rather be able to play handheld so I’ve been holding off for the Switch 2 version and for them to have better support/cross play for the Switch systems. If they really aren’t gonna be releasing the Switch 2 version till March, I might just end up going Xbox.

Excellent! Now if only the physical editions for Switch weren't continually pushed out further and further into next year! Hopeful for defensive patches or greater limits on the ease of damage per interaction!
