It combo starts and extends, frame traps, and stops projectiles plus doubles as an anti air.

Genuinely know no options to counter it as I'm a beginner. I play Korra.

I play as Toph and I can’t stand Katara; seeing a character move back and forth across the screen so fast makes it way too easy to get caught in a combo,not to mention that once you do manage to grab her, she just starts spamming projectiles.

hey yall. Im new to fighting games so this may be a user a error, but i was going through zukos combo trials and got to his EX combo in intermediate and i noticed that the 5B after the 213 EX follow up was not consistent with its hits. im assuming its because of something im doing but i was wondering if anyone could offer some clarity or advice on why it doesnt hit every time

After playing for a while. I feel that these 2 are the most UNGA BUNGA kind of players. What you all think?

I’m looking to get back into a fighting game, and after watching the UFA and EVO France, I’ve been watching quite a few Avatar matches, which has made me want to give it a try.

The problem is the player base. Unfortunately, with family life and other activities, I don’t really have the time or the patience to wait two or three minutes between each match. I also don’t really have the motivation to ping people on Discord to find players.

Given that I’m in Europe, do you think it’s feasible for me to find people to play with easily? That’s really the main hurdle for me. It’s mainly why I stopped playing Fatal Fury.

What was the lag btwn the previous patch coming out and Switch users getting it? I’m getting tired of checking for an update every day.

I’m struggling to enjoy this game atm not really a “me” character and I’m getting insane FOMO because all I hear is how this fg is better than sex lmaooo but man these characters just don’t feel fun to play granted I was initially only interested in ozai and I was waiting til he was finished but now that he is I’m just insanely let down by what I’ve played and seen from him, this is NOT my phoenix king

I do not play Sokka. I can't wrap my brain cells around not being able to connect C from A-B. I don't think I'm fast enough to do the crazy stuff I see Sokka players do.

But I'll be damned if he's not my favorite character to fight against.

And I don't say that in a braggy way like "oh yeah I just stomp Sokka players" - not even close. I just played a crazy ranked set against a Sokka player who took two perfect rounds off me. He was really good and his combos were tight.

Sokka is such a crazy goofball monopolizing all the screen space and leaving me guessing, and being a goofball the whole time while doing it. I love it! That is so much fun to me than playing any other character in the game. And I just wanted to say that the developers knocked this character out of the park.

This game is fun af, but it’s beating your meat with lemon juice type of fun.

Been hovering high Grand Lotus, low Chosen for a while now and at that rank the more frustrating nuances of the game become very apparent. I couldn’t tell you what character I hate to play against the most, for the first time in any fighting game I find myself saying “fuck I gotta fight a/an [character]” for the entire roster which is derivative of the amazing job the dev did with balance (seriously not a single character feels bad, they are all very solid).

My issue is I dislike neutral or find it frustrating. Every match feels like a contest of who can swat the mosquito of the screen first. And you gotta do this with very weak anti airs (depending on the character honestly, with aang slow ass buttons I’m not swatting anything). For example you face a zaheer and this dude is jiggling on the top corner of the screen and my job is to constantly chase this dude down like he owes me money. Finally get to him and he skedaddles away by neutral flowing while flipping you off. Don’t even get me started with Azula or Korra. And this is my experience for almost every character. My sanity can’t take it, im doing j.5Cs in my dreams!

This is one of the better fighting games in a while, reminds me of when dbfz first came out, but I’m putting a restraining order on it. Gonna go try out City of Wolves or some shit lmao.

The way they make this character operate is so sloppy man and all his variations feel extremely lackluster except for maybe the first one but my fingers hurt playing that shit ngl. i wanna like this game a lot and he was the only one i was interested in everyone else just looks so wack AND IM GETTING FOMO CAUSE EVERYONE TELLING ME THIS GAME LIT MAN

Does anyone have any clue when a balance update will happen? I’m just curious.

My friend just got the game but the controller he has isn’t reading any motion inputs for the game. He has no issues with any other fighting games. Any updates to controller support or potential fixes?

So, I'm a complete fighting game casual with more play time in platform fighters than in traditional fighters. The only somewhat traditional fighter I've put about 100 hours time in was 2XKO (RIP). I have a really hard time getting into traditional fighters because of the qcf and qcb motions, and movement doesn't come naturally to me.

So, to learn some bread and butter combos I've first tried some trials (I mainly want to play Zuko btw) and I also don't want to rely on autocombos (did finish them) so went to the first advanced one. It took me about a week of practicing it a bit before going into matches before I got it. I actually cheered when I got it lmao. The 2nd one will probably take me longer. I then tried getting it in a match, and it didn't work once. I know it has to do with getting in the reps, and making it muscle memory but I'm not even sure if they are the right combos to learn.

So my question is, are these combos good in matches, good practice, or should I rather focus on combos from the community/youtube/...?

To anybody who quits right as the match is ending to preserve their points: there's a notification that says "opponent quit" and a different one for genuine disconnections, y'all ain't slick. Every time you do it, the real human being you're playing against can see that you've done it. Instead of running from loss, try this: Accept that you lost, examine why you lost, and find a way to work around it in training mode or replay takeover. That way you'll learn and maybe even win next time. Quitting to save your points is keeping you from being matched with opponents who are actually at your level, which would allow you to experiment a little more and fill out the holes in your gameplan. It's counterproductive, it benefits nobody, please just take the loss. Get your ego out of it, accept that your rank is just a number and will always fluctuate, and focus on learning the game rather than cheating the ranked system. It's cheap, it's corny, it's bad

The Finish screen is more than clear here, the opponent just quit before the win screen, and yet somehow, when I get back to the training mode, my points didn't change. Doesn't this kind of incentivize players rage quitting selectively at the end of matches if it doesn't go their way?

I want to clarify this would be on very long future cause their show just came out and I want them to still have time to build their techniques as they put more TLOK charecters

Had matches with another Kyoshi that was playing at exactly my level, loved losing and winning and not caring about it at all so much I NEEDED TO get to know 'em or at least say to keep up w/ that

Tried crouching using morse code to say "Hi. A. B. C." to establish communication and let this person know it's morse code, not some random seizure on the keyboard. It was looking hilarious because at first they tried to mimic and understand but gave up, eh
