A 7 point win on the books but those refs willed Fresno to two of their touchdowns.

Yep, the officiating was poor and gave Fresno extra chances.

Check their kalshi! That shit was crazy first half. Zebras must have realigned their parleys at halftime.

Yeah those refs were terrible, never have I heard of an illegal snap. The center can slightly adjust the ball and he’s done it all games up till now, so why all of a sudden it’s getting called. Call me crazy but someone had to of been in the refs ear about it. I am glad we got the W but the refs for sure killed some of our drives and missed calls on Fresno but sure loved to whip out that flag against us.

Most one sided I’ve ever seen

I am happy we got the W, glad our offense is decent but where was the defense tonight

Defense kinda been mia for about 3-4 years now. But yeah just way too sloppy and laxed on defense. But at least our offense is genuinely pretty damn elite I’d say especially the running game.

And Maddux gets a lot of shit form this fanbase but tbh…. He’s been a great game manager.

I don’t know what we’re still doing with Chinander. Honestly, I don’t know what Boise saw in him in the first place. He was the worst DC Nebraska ever had and they fired him for giving up record yardage. He got a contract extension for this season for reasons I cannot fathom other than that there wasn’t anyone else available. I’d say let that contract end in February and see if Andy Avalos could be persuaded to come back.

Wilcox doesn't have a job. Damn contracts that don't pay if you get another job.

Who?

Edit: Oh shoot, Justin Wilcox?? Man those defenses were incredible back then. Yes. Hire him back. Immediately. UCLA will be done paying him the $10.9M he’s owed after next season, sooooo maybe??

You had me until you mentioned bringing back Avalos lol keep him as far away from the program as possible

You're tripping about bringing Avalos back. He was toxic that's why they fired him in the first place

The defensive tackling we had game one was decent, but then again Oregon has been terrible. We are halfway into the season now so our identity is already figured out. We have not had a good defense in years. The only game left on the schedule for regular season is Oregon, if the defense can hold, we should be good.

Neither defense showed up

We do not have a lot of talent in the defensive backfield and havent for awhile. Dline is decent, but no stud pass rusher to get pressure without blitzing.

bruh we had benefield and zion washington as safeties last year

I’m happy as hell about it. This is one of the check marks i had for a successful season. I wouldn’t want Fresno to have 4 in a row against us.

Good offensive performance despite plenty of flags. Defense remains problematic
