im going insane due to storage issues. 🪦
im spiralling. im only so old right now and i have so many photos and videos and stupid memories that only mean a lot to me, but i barely have sufficient storage. i keep having to pick and choose what photos/vids to keep and which to delete. i dont want to choose😔i wanna keep them all forever 😔 i hate being a sentimental hoarder. ive tried creating a screenshots journal, 4 gmail drives, deleted so much stuff, instagram photo dump accounts, i dont know what else to do flash drives for iphones are so expensive and only 512gb max. what will i do when i eventually run out of the 512 gbs too??!! how many drives will i keep buying?
this will be the end of me.

the practical solution is that storage capacity will go up over time so your next phone will like have more storage So if your needs increase slowly enough it never ends up being an issue.
The realistic solution is that you are by the fact of it not including expandable storage like a micro sd card slot being herded into using apples cloud storage which also works since it can just offload all of your photos into their cloud, want to keep more? Buy more cloud storage, really its that or self hosting if you want to keep everything always available on your iPhone.
being this is r/Backup id probably recommended selfhosting or some other third party app that more easily allows backups since icloud is more of a sync than a backup but nothing else can be as well integrated.

Google Drive has tons of storage options, you shouldn't need to create multiple drives. Or are you trying to do without paying for anything?
Just upgrade to the correct Google One plan, use Google photos and me done with it.

Buy a USB hard drive and copy files to it:
Seagate 2TB Portable Hard Drive | USB 3.0 (STGX2000400) is $129 on Amazon.
Copy files from phone to USB drive directly and the connect the drive to a computer to make sure they are all there before deleting any from your phone to free up space.
As soon as you can afford it, get a second USB hard drive and copy everything from the first to the second every month. Keep the second in a different building so that if your place burns up or, more likely, someone steals your USB drive, you don't lose everything.
Better yet, install real backup software on a computer and use it with your USB drives. If you don't have a computer, you can still maintain the two USB drives, one for storage and the second as a backup.
Sign up for free cloud services that offer 10 GB or 50 GB for free. Copy your most import photos and videos to them, spreading them out to take advantage of the free space.
