For the first time I received speeding ticket violations worth 400BD that’s collectively for 4 speeding tickets of 100BD each AFTER the 50% discount.

One of the speeding tickets was on the highway from juffair towards seef where there isn’t a camera normally. So I’m not sure how I got it.

Is there a way to help reduce the violation amount? Maybe speaking to traffic department or anything I can do? I wanted to get advise on this or else I just have to pay

Is it just me or has the job market here come to a complete standstill? I work at a reputable bank with 6-7+ years of experience and my skills are quite transferrable. I have been on the lookout for a change this year but NOTHING!
I used to get calls from recruiters all the time and now I’ll be happy if someone even responds to me on LinkedIn.
Maybe it’s because I am an expat but what is going on?! Every other job I see is only open for Bahrainis now. It’s honestly quite frustrating.

I've seen two objects streak across the sky over the past week - anyone else? I wonder if there's a astronomy society here!

One I saw on the 8th, late.. like around 10-12 pm. Towards the southern hemisphere, fairly quick and short, golden, faded away after a second or two of streaking across. Pretty sure a meteor but I can't be sure. ChatGPT says there's no shower currently with a radiant in the southern hemisphere.

Then I saw one today, just an hour ago. Around 6 pm. Right overhead, super bright, had a longer streak too. I think it lasted longer than the other one, and it was bigger/seemed closer. I got startled lol thought it was a missile or smthin heh, so I didn't really pay much attention to the color. But i THINK it was like.. golden at first, and then blue/white at the end. Not sure how long it lasted, but definitely longer than the other one. IDK maybe it was a satellite?

I'm an amateur so I don't really know how to differentiate btwn meteor and satellite but yeah, it looked so beautiful!

Can some one please tell me what I can do ? I was fired by my ex job around a month ago on the 9th of September was my last working day officially .
They informed me it would take 1-2 weeks to pay me for the two weeks that I have worked but nothing yet . I have tried raising a complaint online under the "تاخر دفع الأجور "
But it says I am currently employed there so I can’t raise a complaint online ! I tried calling ministry of labor but no response aswell all the time from the morning to night . Earlier this year, I applied to and was accepted to the Economics and Finance Masters program at Strathclyde University in Bahrain.

So I rejected a short term internship offer abroad, as well as another masters program at a different uni, because the Strathclyde offer seemed to be "confirmed."

The program was supposed to start on September 2026, and I was super excited and grateful to be awarded a scholarship.

I was abroad at the time and had to leave my family early and RUSH to Bahrain in order to make it in time for the start of the program.

After a while of waiting in Bahrain, I personally had to go to the campus and follow up about my courses, which they had yet to provide. I was told there and then that the program was postponed nearly TWO MONTHS.

Frustrated, I waited for Strathclyde to send me ANY sort of information regarding the program and my courses, but received ZERO communication for an entire MONTH.

1 week before the program was supposed to commence they sent an email CONFIRMING my courses will begin soon.

5 days later I called them, and was brushed aside when I asked about my courses, and was vaguely told that the program was postponed AGAIN.

So I had to chase them down for any information possible and was finally told that the program was pushed to SEPTEMEBER 2027.... a whole year from now....

Well I need my ex employer to remove me from gosi asap, I gave my resignation yesterday and I am on probation. She said she can remove me only once she get the amount from tamkeen, which is next month, she said is she removes me earlier, she won’t get any money from tamkeen? What should I do?
I can’t wait till then and I need her to remove me asap. What should I do?
