[META] Subreddit Submission Guidelines Discussion (Highlights, Questions, Tips ...)

Hi Everyone,

Great seeing the activity and the sub growing!

With that, comes some new discussion regarding submissions that you all want to see on the sub. We previously had very little rules regarding what kind of posts are allowed with pretty much everything that is not spam, advertising, hacks, etc.. being allowed.

PSA Also friendly reminder to property flair your posts when posting

Now with a great number of submissions, I am open to feedback if we want to limit certain highlights.

Some discussion topics:

  • Home runs must be 500 ft+ (or below a certain distance, or be special/unique in some way)

I love the highlights, but if every submission for a 450 ft home run is allowed, we would be seeing a LOT of posts.

  • Possible daily or weekly mega threads for home run highlights
  • mega thread for new player questions
  • mega thread for team showcases

As of right now, I think it is ok to leave things as is and revise rules when the sub sees more daily submissions. These changes might clear up the front page a little too much, given the sub is not that large yet. But definitely something to think about and keep an eye on. We constantly see similar posts for home runs, or questions being asked. On that note, we are also looking into creating a wiki and FAQ for answers to common asked questions (how do i upgrade my team, what to spend gems on, how to get x y z, what position to recruit). I've pretty much just copy pasted a comment to reply to these questions as new people join in on the discussion.

Game Update [MEGATHREAD] Patch 3.6.7 Discussion

If the stamina requirement is met, you can skip the order of SP #4, #5 in the pitching rotation.

Reduced the number of knuckleball pitchers on the opposing team.

Added a new face type.

Bug fixes and improvements

Highlights This is the shortest home run in my history.

Since the update to version 3.9.5, Baseball 9 has reverted to a mechanic similar to what was in place around 2021 or earlier: when you hit the ball near the foul line—where previous updates would have simply resulted in a foul—there is now a very high chance of it turning into a home run. My player, J. Robinson, has already benefited from this.

Really letting this pitcher die out there

I’m in the first champion level, don’t think I’ve ever seen the computer leave the pitcher in this long. This is the third game in series against this team and after trouncing them in the first two, I think they are literally out of pitchers

Off the Wall

I hit a very high fly ball which I thought would be a pop up, but it went to the home run / hit off the wall animation and the ball hit the top of the rail of the OG stadium. Is this new?

Reliever in the 1st?

Torched 6 homers in the first inning, did not expect them to put an RP. SP still had green stamina, but ERA was already showing as 99.99

I’m not sure which relievers need to be upgraded and my SPs all have extra 20% stamina so my RPs ideally should play less than normal

Im playing on an iPhone 14 and idk why some stuff is getting cut off by the notch and is zoomed in. Before, the game was properly formatted and the whole game was there with no cutoff on information or anything. If anyone has had this issue, how did you guys fix it

Why i can't hit a homerun using a player with 132 Power Swing against a sub 40 OVA pitchers on the lowest league?

It was scored as that too! It wasn't a triple with an error and there was no rundown.

Anyone know what the tie breaker is if you finish with the same record as another team in the standing?

Anyone else getting more catches at the wall for your hitters?

I'm guessing it's part of a new update? It's frustrating, but I appreciate it, because it's more realistic to actual baseball. And it's helped my defense a few times, even though my opponents have gotten more of these catches.
