I need help.
I was trying to dual boot between Windows and Bazzite. I created a bootable USB drive, disabled secure boot, and tried to install using the new Bazzite installer, The problem is that every time I open "HD Installer," it appears on my screen for half a second and then closes. I wait for it to start, but nothing happens. Does anyone know what the problem might be?
Sorry for any English mistakes, my English is terrible so I opted to use a translator.
Edit:I managed to install it, I've been using it for a while now, but in the end my USB drive was having problems, so I did something crazy using an external hard drive and managed to install Bazzite OS. Thank you for your time.

Try the second option of Basic Graphics in the menu instead of the normal mode when you booting into the installer.
Second thing to test, would be to check that the Bazzite ISO downloaded correctly, you can confirm this by calculating the checksum, I usually use 7-zip to do that for me. There is a guide in the Bazzite docs for how to do that https://docs.bazzite.gg/General/Installation_Guide/install-guide/#calculating-iso-sha256-checksum-hash
Maybe the USB flash drive is defective or you might have ejected the drive while it was still busy creating the bootable flash drive. You can avoid that issue by always safely ejecting the drive.
What tool did you use for creating the USB flash drive? Try one of the other USB boot tools like Fedora Media Writer, Ventoy or Rufus.

I tried a dual boot system and totally messed everything up on both bazzite and Win 11. I then tried a virtual win machine using winboat, again, I totally messed everything up - both times usually within a week or two. I then tried reading the instructions (RTFM) and learned not to b experimenting with the stupid ideas that pop into my tiny little brain (it's very small).
So, when I was ready to take the plunge and spend $10,000 for an Apple computer, I figured I'd give it one more try:
I installed Bazzite - following the instructions on their website, watched some youtubes, ignoring the stuff that didn't follow the Bazzite instructions and after a few days I have a system that I was happy with.
I backed up my install using GParted on Mint from a USB boot drive. GParted let me make an exact duplicate of my Bazzite installation (2 TB BTRFS). It even boots up...
Ok, now I installed WinBoat using the Podman option during the install. I used a windows 11 pro setup and was able to get a good install. I installed the one and only app that requires windows and it's been working well for the last 2 months.
I also made another GParted backup after the WinBoat and windows 11 pro installation.
2 months later, It's still running with no issues. I should say, no issues other than goofy updates sometimes - I just restart, run an update again, then restart again and usually everything is back up again.
Sorry for the long rant - I've been unemployed for a while and it's obvious I like to tinker (experiment).

You don’t have to disable secure boot. Please watch the official linux bazzite dual boot guide on the website
