Gaming OS
Anyone else building their own gaming OS basing mine off of Bazzite at the moment, and gonna try and get it running smooth before I make it available to download. Currently completely redesigning game mode and building a new DE. Gonna be fun

What makes yours a "gaming" os?

Because it’s going to be Controller based and can also be used with Keyboard and mouse.

Bazzite-deck already does this...

Yes but it all depends on Steam. The way I’m designing it it can be operated without Steam being installed.

Why would you want to do it without Steam Input? SI is the single best system for managing different controllers, layouts/configurations, etc. What's the motivation for not using it?

Cheers to you, but that is pretty much the opposite of what I want to do with my gaming PC. I just want it to boot up and play games well.
