Installation issues
So I'm trying to install bazzite I have bazzite loaded on my USB drive no problem my partitions are split evenly but whenever i go through the installation process it tells me I don't have enough space even though I do and tells me I have to delete another partition I'm confused on what I'm doing wrong before the updates I was able to get it running no problems has anyone else had this problem if so what did you do to fix it thanks in advance

when you make an extra partition for your linux in the installation you need to delete that extra partition so it can install into it im pretty sure at least thats how i did it when dual booted fedora on my macbook
https://docs.bazzite.gg/General/Installation_Guide/install-guide/
did you select the extra partition and not the windows partition? bc it says windows

When I tried to install bazzite the first time it failed but now my other half of the partition doesn't say unallocated so idk if when it failed it couldn't recognize it

but you still have windows + that extra partition right? you need to delete that extra partition so bazzite can claim it(as in delete it in bazzite installation menu)
if you arent sure then boot back into windows and make sure you have the extra partition meant for bazzite
you have to do this bc theres no other way for windows not to take all of the space that partition is there temporarily made to be deleted after so bazzite can use it

I was able to delete the other partition so that it was unallocated then it almost installed but failed again I decided to cloud recovery and start over I'm going to take pictures of my partitions before and after the split so I know exactly just in case I have to repartition without having to go through cloud recovery again

you should have noted the error you got when it failed
ig just try again? as long as you dont touch the partition with windows on it its fine

Okay I will take pictures and document it then if there is a way to upload through comments that way once I figure it out someone that struggling with the same thing may find it helpful thanks for your help

ok so you have a second drive? you don’t need partitions at all in that case just give bazzite the whole drive

Disc 1 is my USB bootable drive with the image and disk 0 is my windows drive split in two

Is there any way I can write an older image to the USB and install a previous set up instead of using the newest one then just update bazzite once installed

uhh i think they only keep the older images from 90 days tho idk about isos
you can try a legacy iso if everything fails

you need to set up those partitions manually when dual booting i think
(from the wiki )
there’s a video that explains it

it clearly says the issue you have no network/wifi did you set it up? you might need to plug in ethernet or use usb tethering with your phone if you have no way to plug it in if the wifi won’t connect

If you want to dual-boot with Windows, you need to shrink your Windows partition and have unallocated space in order to install Bazzite. See the Bazzite docs https://docs.bazzite.gg/General/Installation_Guide/install-guide/#written-walkthrough
