Nature Ancient linden tree in the Czech Republic, estimated at up to 800 years old, this Giant Tree is deeply connected to the history of Kamenice nad Lipou. Even after being struck by lightning in 1824, part of its ancient trunk survived. A truly amazing wonder of nature.

This is like something right out of the LOTR, and I love it.

Specially considering how often Tolkien inserted Linden leaves on his works, like in the ballad of Beren and Luthien.

Yes and the solution to support it with cruches is quite funny. If we want to know how longevity looks like we have fewer options because tree care has become fast tree fashion. Over management can never produce 800 year beauty 😍

Beautiful old tree-mother nature is amazing, these supports are needed to preserve that branch it would have snapped off an died.- not everyone accepts conservation- but this seems the only logical way of saving such a Huge & heavy branch from collapse.

I see all the support beams . It reminds me of elderly using a walker to ambulate.

Awesome tree. Shame about the 20th century struts and the picnic benches. Kinda destroys the magesty of it all.

Sometimes the old ones need a cane

Only humans. The rest of nature does what it does unobserved.

I get it, but I don't mind humans revering and protecting something ancient in nature.

Why? If it's just doing it's thing by existing, then leave it be. We don't protect anything, we exploit it for money.
I guarantee you will find a shop selling fridge magnets within 100 metres of a 'historically spiritual' random piece of nature that just is.

I don't get what's your problem, they like the tree so they don't want it to fall

If Trump was in charge for five minutes, he'd chop it down and put it through a shredder for a golf course.

Look man, I hate the guy too but this is a video of a tree. Is nowhere safe from politics? Chill out for a minute man and just look at a tree. Shit, you might need to smoke some too
