They are like dogs. I've been scuba diving with them in Cabo. The dive master brought a semi-deflated ball along, and entire pack came out to play. They would come up in your face and blow bubbles in response to our bubbles.

Scuba diving near Deception Isd, a young seal thought I was fascinating and followed me like a puppy. Playing hide and seek with him, he loved the game until he vanished. I turned around and somehow he'd got behind me and he was so excited, his whiskers brushed my mask before he rocketed away in a flurry of bubbles.

Sea lions are so cute! They do have teeth so be careful! In Oregon we have the sea lion caves where you can watch them. In case you didn't know. Sea lions have little floppy ears where as seals don't.

Fur seals (what these are) also have ears lol

Both sea lions and eared seals belong to the family Otariidae while true seals belong to a different family, Phocidae. Although fur seals are still technically seals, they’re more closely related to sea lions than true seals. The whole thing seems kinda arbitrary

Sea lions are eared seals, so any sea lion can be called a seal. These are cape fur seals in the same eared seal family as sea lions, Otariidae, fur seals can be colloquially referred to as sea lions as well so there's no need to correct anyone in regards to seals with floopy ears.

Oh, I wasn't meaning to correct anyone. I'm sorry if it came off that way. After visiting the se lion caves I learned a lot about these critters.

I think I would just take my chances and rip my life jacket off and dive into the water with them and hope they would accept me and I could live with them forever ❤️

I’ve seen sea lions get aggressive with each other. This lady is being rather calm considering she could be moments from swimming for her life in sea lions infested waters

They are soooo cute. I love when they look at her and she says “Hello!” so brightly 😄

Thats a sea lion, can tell from the ear protrusions and how they can use their flippers to lift up and ambulate instead of hop.

Those are sea lions. Not seals.

Its a Cape Fur Seal, same "eared seal" family as sea lions, but not incorrect to call it a seal.

If something awful or amazing happens to me, I would really appreciate no Americans being part of it, because I have strict limit of one "oh my god" per event.
I'm happy for these nice gals but I don't even inhale and exhale as much as they throw omgs around

I should like to apologize to all the videos where I got annoyed at someone saying "Allahu Akbar" a hundred times
