I come bearing tips & tricks DIY honey warming cabinet

I have 5 cases of honey to liquify before a market in 2 weeks. So I thought I would see if I could liquify some and how long it would take.

Super easy with everything I had her playing around.

A medium super

Two deep boxes

2 metal queen excluders

A dehydrator with a thermostat

Somesort of lid ( this is just a sheet of drywall I had in the basement)

All I did was set the thermostat to 30°C, place at the bottom of the stack. Exclude Ron top with Honey jars, then another excluder, and another box.

So far 3 days in and halfway liquid again!

👍 Whatever works. In the summer sometimes you can just set them out in the sun, or put them in a plastic tub (to contain accidental leaks) and put them in your car.

I use a sousvide set for 40° (104 Fahrenheit) and a big plastic tub.

Yeah it's mostly come fall the honey all crystalized in the cooler basement before the wood stove is lit. And fall honeyabround here crystallizes almost immediately. It's crazy lol

Its a cool idea

Yup! It forces air up through the boxes

I've done the same thing but just using a light bulb or a reptile warming bulb. It also works well for buckets.

I do essentially the same thing but with a ceramic reptile heat lamp and a small desk fan

That's great but just put them in your oven. It's so much easier. Warm it up then turn it off. Depending on the oven the oven light may provide a enough heat or use a simple temp controller
