Bitwig Suggestion: Add Quantize Automation
I've looked around and asked on Discord, and it doesn't seem like there's a way to do this. Am I the only one who'd really like a way to quantize automation?
If I'm using a MIDI controller to record pressure, volume, or another parameter live, it'd be nice to have an option to reduce the point resolution and snap the horizonal values to the nearest grid point.
And perhaps smoothing. This would be really useful for anyone dealing with a little input lag or ... just not super precise with the knobs and faders.
If I want cleaner automation, I have to click all the points in with a mouse, which can take a long time.
It seems odd to me that we can quantize audio recordings and MIDI but not automation.. Am I missing something? Would anyone else find this useful?

I'd want the amount adjustable, like note quantize. Pulling a recorded filter move halfway towards the grid could keep more of the performance than snapping every point dead on.

individual clip follow tempo automation including quantization hasn’t been placed because of the fear of lawsuits . ableton was the first to do it , including beat marker migration propagation to all samples. notice how all the daws with clip launch and scene launch don’t have beat marker migration propagation, or individual follow tempo for clips … it’s usually just follow tempo with one source . only thing you can automate . but with ai you can alter bitwig and vibe code it yourself

Just use a macro to modulate the phase of a steps mod set to the different spots of quantise you want, and then assign the steps to whatever.
