I honestly dont think well ever get another star like Taylor again. Theres just too much competion for a person's time now.

What helped taylors music was her family connections to the rising music industry in streaming services like spotify. With her career started before streaming became a dominant entertainment source, Taylor was able to put herself at the forefront of multiple genres, so more people heard her music.

Now, someone doing the same thing already has billions of songs to compete against. Even ones from the 1920s to today.

No other era of potential star had that kind of competition.

Theres also no way to seperate any style anymore. Britney, Queen, Michael Jackson, Madonna, Justin Beiber Butler, Biggie Smalls, Tupac, ect all had their own musical styles that didnt exist at the time. In effect, we cant have another Queen, Taylor, or Justin because they already exist.

I agree with a bit of this. The death of the monoculture certainly will limit how big stars can get.

This is just a silly thing to say. Genres still exist, and artists are continually redefining them.

And can you explain how someone can fundamentally change a genre in a completely different way thay doesnt already sound like something that has been done?
