Black Excellence That BS “DEI” narrative they spun continues to blow back in their faces. Someone tell the trump administration that you can’t fake this level of excellence ✨

Zacharia also an example of who benefits most from DEI/affirmative action-white women.

u/teetering_bulb_dnd 5h ago
Yup.. Same case with affirmative action, they are the biggest beneficiaries... But as a group White women have voted for Bush, against Obama in both elections, for Trump by a Majority in all three elections.. they are the biggest voting block in Elections and some of the most loyal supporters of Republicans. They never see themselves as DEI candidates/hires though..

DEI and a lot of other "progressive" things in business are literally designed by and for white women to career climb
2
2
u/Dubious_Odor 1h ago
I always look at the industries that are being pushed. Its always prestige careers woman of a certain type are chasing. I don't ever see campaigns, lawsuits etc for woman to be roughnecks, pipe fitters, sanitation engineers, merchant marine, quarrymen, miners, etc.
Which is ironic because all those fields are starving for labor and would gladly take anyone who knows which end of a hammer to hold at this point
1
u/PrimeDirectiveLover 1h ago
It's always media, C suite / politics, and HR related roles. It's never actually tough jobs, it's never medicine, schooling, or physical labor jobs.
1
u/Alex_Draw 1h ago
If those fields are happy to hire women, then why would you expect to see lawsuits from women being denied those positions?
1
u/Dubious_Odor 59m ago
If the reason is equality, the campaigns should be directed at all fields. There's no reason a woman cant do any of the jobs I listed. But the attention is always put on a narrow set of prestige jobs that appeal to a certain subset of woman. Holy hell will get raised about a male attorney making 10% more then his female counterpart (which is fine, gender pay gaps are bullshit and shouldnt exist, should be same job same pay). But the same people are silent about 95% of Construction Superintendant jobs ($200k+ job) being held by men. Why?
1
u/macha773 52m ago
The trades historically were not welcoming to. people of color and women.
1
u/Dubious_Odor 22m ago
Yes I agree. All the more reason there should be / have been activism to change that then no?
2
u/caramel-aviant 4h ago
Its basically textbook at this point for them to directly benefit from policy they regularly demonize

The perfect candidate doesn't exist. Sure she made some mistakes but let's not act like she or any of the people in the picture are worse than what we're dealing with right now.
EDIT: and using the term colored?? Today??

u/RealityTVobsessed8 5h ago
lol, that was my takeaway from this comment….a “colored woman” in our big 2026???

The perfect candidate doesn't exist.
Yeah, this is what people keep telling Crockett, yet she has refused to help Talarico despite losing to him in the Dem primary.
3
u/MedicalAd5084 5h ago
Crockett should have supported Talarico. If I lived in Texas, I'd vote for him 100%
4
u/Critically_Political 5h ago
“Colored women” in 2026 is a wild lingo choice.
2
u/been_blissed 5h ago
Ikr? Weird thing is I've seen that a couple of times lately. We are not bringing back that term, ffs!
0
u/Beneficial-Act-9933 5h ago
Ignoring the meat of my comment because of a term you didn't like is a predictable choice.
There's a reason you're avoiding talking about her celebrating Chris brown and we both know why.
2
u/MedicalAd5084 5h ago
Hey girl. Chris Brown sucks. Jasmine Crockett shouldn't have supported him. You're trying to make it more of a big deal but it's not. She didn't win office. Let's move on

THE MOST EDUCATED DEMOGRAPHIC IS BLACK WOMEN!!!!!!!!!
25
18
u/Clavenesque 5h ago
Fun fact: When I was in the Air Force, black women were the demographic that used educational benefits the most, by percentage.
15+ year old data, so I'm not sure what it is today.
1
u/tisamust 🫶🏾🫶🏽🫶🏿 2h ago
Unfortunately, this is not what the statistic that you're probably referencing says. Spreading this information it in this way undermines the need for more support for Black women in higher education.

I learned a long time ago a black woman with a law degree could be your greatest ally or most formidable foe depending which side of the law you're on.

If anything, Katie Zacharia WAS the DEI hire!
17
u/Clean_Usual434 6h ago
Yep, and the worst thing is having to listen to below mediocre, incompetent twits like her trying to diminish black woman who are far more accomplished.
11
u/DuztyLipz 6h ago edited 5h ago
Yeah, it infuriates me that they looked at Katanji Brown Jackson—an accomplished black woman—and were like “this is an incompetent DEI hire”, but they’re hushed up AS FUCK about Katie Zacharia “oh, that’s not a role for her, hopefully there’s another role in the administration for her to fill”
7
u/Critically_Political 5h ago
Yup. They cried about “DEI” hires only for trump to get back into office and hire the most incompetent people he could find.
6
u/Clean_Usual434 5h ago
To them the “merit” is being white because they think white means inherently superior.

u/KingKongWoreAThong 4h ago
The problem is that Biden promised he would pick a black woman so it's impossible to know if she was the best option overall or just the best option that fit those criteria. That's the issue with DEI policies and why some BIPOC, like Clarence Thomas, are against them; for any noteworthy minority hire they add a question of whether that person was actually the most qualified or just picked because of their minority status.

u/Cedex 5h ago
I would argue that she wasn't DEI. The whole definition of DEI has been subverted.
DEI in a nutshell, all things being equal you choose the candidate that offers the most diversity to your organization.
That's not what happened with Katie. Nothing even close to DEI.
3
u/zeethreepio 2h ago
They're using the conservative definition of DEI in an ironic way.

DEI doesn't mean unqualified! stop feeding into the fox news altright revisionist definitions.
3
u/RazzzberrySorbet 4h ago
Correct, it does not, but that’s how it’s perceived now that they’ve hijacked it.
(Just like they hijacked “woke”.)
And everyone knows what it means, even if we use it sarcastically.4

u/MethamMcPhistopheles 2h ago
The right wing media is also brainwashed their viewers into either thinking that calling out dog whistles as something defamatory or something rude people do. At the same time this game of "bad faith pretend what it means" is going to bite them in the face (see also: how the economy is going compared to admin's promises and Project 2025)

Can they just all form the next presidential administration! This would be a powerhouse combo.
2
u/Expensive-Sundae-831 3h ago
Well, contrary to the headline, it's not blowing back into their faces.
Pretty much all their rhetoric is known to be false. That's the point. They're like, "We don't care that it's BS, we have the power and you can't stop us."
They aren't really interested in anything being true or having integrity.
It's simply a philosophy of "the ends justify the means". And they admit it openly.
There is no debate here. There is no changing of hearts and minds by pointing out the hypocrisy.
2
u/NixonsTapeRecorder 3h ago
Yeah but they probably can't see dirt. /s
Seriously though, Trump has this thing with black people where he believes they are dirty because they cant see dirt. I dont know how or why he came to believe this, but over the past 30 years he has mentioned it multiple times (once recently to a black lady reporter).
If i had to guess i imagine it came from his equally demented father or older family when he was a kid (as racism and racist rhetoric usually does). Someone probably jokingly said to him as a child that black people cant physically see the dirt on themselves because of the dark shade of their skin or something and that stuck with him for life and its just one of those things he has repeated enough to believe.

Pfft. These people only passed because they put in the effort, worked hard, and studied relentlessly to overcome a system that would have otherwise held them down.
1
u/tharoadtrip 53m ago
What did they achieve after "passing" the bar exam? Starting with Willie Brown (Kamala) to a DEI who can't define a woman to the latest Cornell 7 witch-hunt about to start by a mortgage fraud cheater in NY, you will realize this is not really a flex.
Sorry if it's parody because I am still laughing.

I find it amazing how literally every single person in the administration (maybe except little marco) is exactly the type of person they wanted us to think was getting into positions due to DEI.
