Tips/Info As a blogger this happens

As Blogger - somewhere along the way, something happens.

People begin to recognize you.

Not because you've become famous or reached some imaginary finish line.

Because they've been watching you do the work. They've learned how you think, what you believe, and what you're willing to change your mind about.

You become familiar.

Oof makes me relieved to be anonymous and not mainstream. I thought talking to myself was bad but this feels more exposed.

Why do you blog? For your own pleasure? Or to share ideas? Being recognized is a win to me - I do not want famous šŸ˜‚

I suppose my goal was writing fiction but that seemed too fetched. Blogging as an introvert seemed more realistic.

I was hoping to learn how to be open and communicate so I saw it as a transition from a private diary to a public blog but still keeping anonymity.

It is fun, to clear my mind, share things, be silly, serious, downhearted without the constant interruption and judgements.

How did you get into it?

I was woking on the night shift as a nurse in a psychiatric hospital. On nights we would have a high stress event I would write about - no names mentioned - started more of a journal and then other nurses started relating to the stories - most were pretty unbelievable.

Wowser. That's one way to get rid of work stress. It's nice you had the support of other nurses :)

Yea mine is more diary, less polished compared to others but I like it and then the fiction eventually came and spoofs.

Need to be silly at times :)

And you know that diary of yours like mine - turned into my first book. 😁 never thought it would sell. It did!! Literally around the globe, sits in my local library and has been a great connector. Just a thought for you someday.

Aww wow that's beautiful. Many congratulations.

I've written really short basic stories. Even a children's one but I don't have the talent. I just like turning my imagination into something creative.

Each year I try to write a Christmas story, only 2 so far. My third is there but it's not flowing.

I don't know how to write through the constant stress/health stuff. I want to do it before the year ends :)

You have the talent.
Do not compare your stories to NY best seller - they probably didn’t write half of their own books 😜

Giggles that made me laugh thanks :D I honestly do try not to compare. It won't stop me writing but I'm happier when the mind is clear and that's difficult to achieve.

But just for you, I'll open it up and write a bit :)

A reader remembering an older post would feel meaningful. Have people started referring back to your earlier stories, or do you mostly hear from them about new posts?

The old stories when I began I have placed them in the archives. They no longer are the message I wanted to share.

A brief note in the archives could help returning readers understand why those stories no longer reflect your message.

It’s no longer my message. That’s why they are archived and no show to Google 😁

Fair point. I had assumed returning readers would still come across them.

There are a few bloggers that I followed over a decade ago that I occasionally see active on other social media platforms. It's fascinating to see how their thinking has evolved and where they have ended up over time.

YES! I had some just last week who messaged me because she remembered my beginning and knew I would be able to help - that is pretty neat

That’s such a unique feeling. Your work can evoke true emotions, but will it be etched into someone’s memory. That may be my new ā€œmeasuring stickā€

I think so too... it is always fun when someone can quote back to me something I have created
