It's only a competition if you're not having casual gay sex, but rather ranked competitive gay sex.

Same
I'm a poser and only joke about kissing the homies good night
I'm not gay enough to actually do that :,(

u/ReptileSerperior 1d ago
You can start with one of the nonbinary bros, so that way you can still technically be straight while showing love to the boys

u/Nepalman230 1d ago
I mean, bro was spitting facts.
So I shall reveal to you guys the origin of Male homosexuality. Spoilers we have no idea where lesbians come from! This is not a joke, but we’re pretty sure where gay boys come from.
It’s a mixture of genetics things that happen in the womb, and the environment.
So they’ve done test identical, twins, raise the part if your identical twin is gay the other twin has a 50% chance of being gay. Which is you know clearly Gene has something to do with it but it’s not 100%.
Now we go to the womb.
When I’m about to say is going to sound bonkers, but I’m going to include a link to reputable scientific papers this has been born out again and again. Birth order influences the chance of a boy being gay. If a woman has several boys, every boy after the first has an increasing chance of being gay.
https://www.npr.org/2026/03/10/nx-s1-5742476/birth-order-gay-sexuality-identity
This is because effectively a woman’s body is allergic to male fetus. And produces chemicals which are accumulative. Meaning they linger in her body that will turn a boy gay.
These are facts.
No, the fact that millions of years of evolution has not nip this in the bud tells me that it actually does very good things to have gay boys. And before anybody says anything about reproduction, cooperation is essential to live so having healthy dudes who are not interested in fucking your woman would be really really useful if you were in you know devastated wasteland.
Anyway, hope everybody is having a good one happy queer history month

Actually really cool, informative comment, with references to back the claims it makes. Nice. As an Anthropogy student this is extremely interesting I'm going on a new rabbit hole today

I’m so glad! I know that that is not what this sub is for but I kind of feel like fun fact should actually be fun you know?
Hope you’re having a great one!

So you're saying it's my mother's fault that I'm gay?
10
u/Nepalman230 1d ago
And potentially your older brother’s fault yes.
But because genetics are involved your father’s got something to do with it.Also, I would blame the Lord God.
But instead of blame, why don’t we say credit?
😉

u/DuckyVermin 1d ago
… so what does it mean that the only gay male in my family is my eldest brother?
7
u/Nepalman230 1d ago
That’s just your brother being the exception to the rule! And also all your other brothers and and you if you are a boy.
Statistics are just that you know not everybody follows the laws of averages.
… some of those Walton boys were gay.

u/DuckyVermin 1d ago
Yeah we are very exceptional. Because it got straighter down the line.
Eldest brother = gay
Me = trans male
Middle sibling = enby (amab)
Next bro = straight but a bit fruity
Youngest bro = straight as an arrow, but not as forthcoming with fruity jokesNo I have no idea how we managed to reverse the rule this hard.

Queen history was 3 months ago

u/Nepalman230 1d ago
Not in America!
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/LGBTQ_History_Month
And apparently several other countries.
But it’s always queer history month if you keep it in your heart much like Christmas and Halloween

Actually this is true you can't just choose to be gay and even if you do you aren't actually gay
0
u/_ZepZappa_ 1d ago
i mean i get you point if u mean that u can only call yourself gay if you like men, but u can change your sexuality at any point
9
u/RedBaronIV 1d ago
So no you're not necessarily born gay, but it isn't really a choice. Dynamic systems theory places emphasis on both biology and environmental / societal factors
4
u/ChocoChipScape127 1d ago
I really wish this could be discussed and researched more but the moment it's covered by science all the bigots will then use religious texts to back up their homophobic claims instead of outdated articles from the 90s and idk what's worse

Are bisexuals more gay than just gay/lesbian people, are they they same amount of gay or less gay?
18
6
u/SimplyYulia 1d ago
People often say that bisexuals are 50% gay, 50% straight. But it's not correct
The truth is, everyone else is 50% bisexual
5
2
u/hamburgerpancake 23h ago
what about pansexuals? are they like 75% or 125%?
1
u/ilikewoIves 20h ago
You see, the original comment was wrong. What they described was actually pansexuality. Bisexuality is heterogeneous.
1
u/CuteUnit24 1h ago
I gotta agree with this, while I feel like society isn't relaxed enough yet to understand this; attraction is like soooo fluid -_-
2
u/Orion107 1d ago
They're the same amount of gay, but also simultaneously straight.
It's like if a straight person = 5 apples and a gay person = 5 oranges. A bi person, assuming binary bisexuality, likes both the opposite gender (straight, 5 apples) and the same gender (gay, 5 oranges). They still only have 5 oranges, like a gay person, but they also have 5 apples, like a straight person.1
u/DuckyVermin 1d ago
So you’re saying I’m 100% gay and 100% straight at once. I’m 200% sexuality. Honestly perfect.
(Don’t worry I’m being deliberately weird)
1
u/Orion107 1d ago
Exactly! We put sexuality in your sexuality so you can have more sexuality per sexuality!
1
u/duckling-developer 1d ago
I mean, some bisexuals are pretty much 50-50, others might prefer one of the sexes over one of the other others while still liking both
4
u/Plain-Intern-3608 1d ago
Kinda weird if my sexuality gonna be constrained to one particular gender with no exceptions

u/ladycatgirl 1d ago
This isn't a funfact, that is still related to the post.
Funfacts should not relate to point, literally according to sub has to be "COMPLETELY IRRELEVANT"

u/TuskActMinus1 19h ago
I sure as hell didn't choose to be gay. Just took 18 years to realize why I never had any girl crushes

by the way the context is that some person said that telling someone that being gay was a choice is disrespectful and I said “But it is a choice, or is there something I’m misunderstanding?” and here we are

u/CuteUnit24 1h ago
Kris icon and saying being gay is a choice? I'm not making fun of you but I'm baffled by the combo LOL! It's not a choice, you can't run from being gay, straight, or whatever else. The closest thing to a "choice" is putting a name on it I guess?
like I choose to identify as a lesbian despite my orientation actually being really complicated and full of like.... bad programming else/if chains. The less people who assume I'd be attracted to one of the 50 white hollywood guys who look exactly the same, the better.
Anyways little joke at my expense: I still feel complicated about calling myself a lesbian because if there was a man that looked like a fat vincent price I'd crumble.

How is being gay a choice?
1
u/_ZepZappa_ 1d ago
WHY ARE PPL ASKING THIS OMFG BROOOOOOOOOO
you choose who u love or what, are we back in a weird medieval time where your marriage was laid in front of u (that i have no knowledge about :3)1
u/MrPewp 1d ago
Choosing your partner has nothing to do with being gay. You don't choose what you're sexually attracted to, you choose a partner that falls within the range of what you're sexually attracted to. This is entry level critical thinking, I'm honestly surprised I have to make this distinction for you.
If someone's favorite food is pizza, they're not choosing pizza as their favorite food, it's their favorite because the flavor profile lines up with what they perceive as tasty.

It's not a choice
Just like how you don't choose to be Trans, you don't choose to be gay or straight or anything else, you're born as one
1
u/_ZepZappa_ 1d ago
are we gonna go into existentialism now? if u have a choice in life (which is far fetched, ikik), you can choose to love whoever you want, thats just common sense. its not like you are born to love a specific person, maybe u have a type of ppl that you are attracted to more, but that doesnt mean u cannot change that idea (or however u wanna call it).
