In need of INR 11,600 🙏🏽

My cat Chikki was showing signs of extreme lethargy and was taken to the hospital on 14th of October and was asked to do a full panel blood test.

She is only 3.9 years old, so we never expected kidney damage for her.

But the tests showed her Creatinine was elevated and she needed Saline for 5 days to flush her kidneys. The reference range is 0.8 - 1.8. Hers was 1.89, which is a second stage kidney disease. The vet said she's already lost 40- 60% of her kidney function and she immediately needed the saline therapy.

And after 5 days, another full panel blood test would be required to see whether her creatinine level lowered.

The total cost for full panel blood test- 2500

CBC- 500

OPD- 500

Total -3500

Cost of per saline treatment was 1500 at this hospital, which was very expensive, so I moved her to another hospital.

At Thane CPCA, first OPD was 700, and follow up was 400, which included saline as well.

She got her first saline on 14th October afternoon, cost - 700.

She didn't eat food at all after coming back home. On the 15th, the doctor checked her temperature and she had 104° fever. They said the fever could be because of fear and stress. But if not, then there's something underlying and in that case she would require another CBC the next day, which was the 16th Oct. And because she wasn't eating any food, they increased the saline therapy from once a day to twice a day from 15th October itself.

She still didn't eat any food, so the next day on 16th October, her CBC test was done, and her WBC was too low. So they started her antibiotics of 5 days treatment.

The CBC test costed - 700

The total cost per day treatment came up from 800 to 1000. (Antibiotic cost- 200)

After 5 days (from 14th October) her KFT, LFT, and CBC was done again once again. Her WBC and creatinine fortunately came normal, but platelets came very low.

This test costed - 1900 total.

Today, 20th October, is the last day of her antibiotics. But unfortunately, she is still not eating or drinking water properly. As I am writing this it's 13:18 PM.

Because my cat is still not properly eating or drinking water yet, after today's treatment the doctor asked us to wait for another five days, and bring her back in for platelets treatment and another full panel blood test, CBC, and OPD to check whether her creatinine levels are really functioning well, or is this temporary relief because of saline therapy. If the creatinine level increases again, she'll require a sonography next to understand the gravity of her kidney disease.

It will cost roughly around 2500 (full panel blood test)

+ 700 (CBC)

+ 700 - 400 (OPD)

+ 2500 (sonography)

Total - 3800 - 6300.

She has also been advised to switch to Royal Canin Renal food, which is expensive and currently beyond my budget. If anyone is willing to sponsor her renal food, you can directly have it shipped to my address. 🙏🏽

INR 11,600.

Oreo was rescued in August. He was a feral, wild kitten who was initially scared of humans, but with time, he slowly became comfortable with me.

He has been through so much lately. First, he needed treatment for his injured paw, then he tested positive for parvo, and now he is also being treated for jaundice and tick fever.

His pending vet bill has reached ₹10,600, and I urgently need help to continue his treatment.

Posting after a month. Need some help with food for rescued kittens that i have been trying to get adopted for last 3 months. As the kittens are growing up quickly the 3kg bag runs out in a week.
