We'll be lucky to go our usual 8-4

I mean hey, 8-4 is a decent improvement after a 5-7 campaign. Sounds like your coach just needs some time to recruit and get his guys in

5-7, 8-4, 11-1. 14 - (-2)

So in 2025 Jimbo finally can replace the FCS championship trophy TAMU gave him in 2018 with a real natty

Ya, baby! 2.5 short years away! Make CFP next year.

Y maybe in year 7 he'll get his guys on board, by then it's his system, and his playback will be solid on both sides of line.

7-5. It’s an improvement!

You think we beat South Carolina? Bold.

You think our offense can put up more than 40 points?

4

u/Surelynotshirly Tennessee Volunteers Oct 15 '23

Their D-line will feast on USCe's o-line...

I'm not sure it'll be much different than your game in Neyland two weeks ago.

18

u/BadDadJokes LSU Tigers • Chattanooga Mocs Oct 14 '23

Y’all will beat us.

10

u/DanFlashesCoupon Texas A&M Aggies Oct 14 '23

@ LSU? lol

1

u/BadDadJokes LSU Tigers • Chattanooga Mocs Oct 14 '23

Stranger things have happened.

5

u/longleaf1 Texas A&M Aggies Oct 15 '23

Like last year and the year before lol, not always the best team that wins in our matchups lately

u/Geaux12 Corndog • Victory Flag Oct 15 '23

change your flair coward

2

u/__Big_Hat_Logan__ Alabama Crimson Tide Oct 15 '23

No fucking way. Their secondary is seriously gid awful, lsu will score 70 on them

2

u/BadDadJokes LSU Tigers • Chattanooga Mocs Oct 15 '23

And our defense will give up 71. Our offense is historically good, but our defense is historically bad.

1

u/__Big_Hat_Logan__ Alabama Crimson Tide Oct 16 '23

I guess y’all could be that bad on defense. But I’m definitely picking y’all to beat AM, I think you can score every possession

1

u/Abject_Resort4624 Tennessee Volunteers Oct 15 '23

If you don't get up for the defending Superbowl losers I will be disappointed.

You didn't watch Sun Belt Billy just have the comeback of his life over NoShame Beamer apparently

1

u/[deleted] Oct 14 '23

I’d rather watch reruns of Friends…with commercials.

SC is hot garbage.

1

u/CrimsonOOmpa Alabama Crimson Tide Oct 15 '23

With your defensive front you always have chance. Those are some grown was men.

36

u/AchtungCloud Texas A&M Aggies Oct 14 '23

That’s an exaggeration. Beating Abilene Christian and one of Mississippi State and South Carolina isn’t a long shot.

50

u/constructss Texas A&M Aggies Oct 14 '23

shush I’m in my feelings rn

4

u/[deleted] Oct 14 '23

If “in my feelings” is like “deep into my day drinking” then, man, same.

7

u/[deleted] Oct 15 '23

Have you tried drinking until you can’t feel feelings? I went with coach Fran so I know a thing or two about this technique

1

u/Underboss572 Tennessee Volunteers Oct 14 '23

You'll beat Carolina and State easily I think. Especially Carolina their oline is a joke you'll kill em.

2

u/BigHeadDeadass South Carolina • Auburn Oct 15 '23

Nah this week the joke is our defense. Holy shit kill me

50

u/Makaroo Texas A&M Aggies Oct 14 '23

Lol. Dude we’re looking at 6-6 best. Possibly 5-7 again. We aren’t beating lsu or ole miss, and we’ll be lucky to win one of South Carolina and Mississippi state.

33

u/walkingbicycles Texas A&M Aggies Oct 14 '23

Looking like a powerhouse against LSU would not surprise me though

7

u/spacebob42 Texas A&M Aggies • Dakota State Trojans Oct 15 '23

Tbh I now expect to lose every SEC game and then look like 2019 LSU as we boatrace LSU for no reason.

Then lose pathetically to Coastal Carolina or something in a bowl game.

3

u/[deleted] Oct 15 '23

Please don’t. Just, please. I argue on behalf of TAMU so often because I just know eventually you’re going to get there. I look silly all year, and then you decide to turn into the god dammed Kansas City Chiefs after eating your turkey and gravy and make us fight for everything, win or lose.

If you did beat us this year with Max Johnson at QB though that would be some pretty iconic shit for him to win on both sides of that one, though.

4

u/deadzip10 Texas A&M Aggies • TCU Horned Frogs Oct 15 '23

Jimbo always seems to do better than expected against LSU. My guess is we lose that one though just because our corners don’t have a prayer of slowing down their WRs and between Max not being able to process or throw the ball anywhere near on time and our OL being awful in pass protection, I just don’t see how we’ll be able to take advantage of LSU’s weak defense. (And it’s worth noting that their front 4 feels like it’s been steadily improving since they got that part of their coaching house in order.)

5

u/Pylon-Cam Texas A&M Aggies Oct 14 '23

7-5 seems more likely than 5-7…7-5 still isn’t acceptable in year 6 with all this talent, though.

3

u/[deleted] Oct 15 '23

If we go 5-7, I don't see how Jimbo can return.

3

u/[deleted] Oct 15 '23

On wings of cash. Gonna be hard to fire him and then pay* a coach at the level y’all want.

*Assuming Jimmy Sexton is his agent.

2

u/SuperAwesomeBrian Paper Bag Oct 16 '23

I see 77 million reasons why he can return.

1

u/DanFlashesCoupon Texas A&M Aggies Oct 14 '23

We should manhandle Miss State let’s be real

0

u/Impossible-Flight250 Maryland Terrapins • Towson Tigers Oct 15 '23

I wouldn’t say that. Texas A and M isn’t bad, they just haven’t won the close games. I think Ole Miss and LSU may be a toss up.

3

u/PolloMagnifico Texas A&M • North Texas Oct 14 '23

5-7 is not out of the realm of possibility.

2

u/clam-caravan Tennessee Volunteers Oct 14 '23

We will be right there with you most likely.

1

u/CrimsonOOmpa Alabama Crimson Tide Oct 15 '23

There's nothing wrong with The Outback Bowl. The win gets people a free Bloomin' Onion™ and that's fu××ing booty AF!
