It's par the course.

  • 2021 Haynes King breaks his leg
  • 2021 Calzada injures his shoulder
  • 2022 Max Johnson broke his wrist
  • 2022 Haynes King gets Turf Toe,
  • 2023 Conner Weigman breaks his ankle
  • 2023 Max Johnson breaks rib
  • 2023 Jalen Henderson breaks arm

So glad to be done with this era of Aggie Football

Jimbo pulling top 5 recruiting classes but they're all D line, wr, and corners with a bunch of dudes off the street on the o line. Weird how the o line has been a problem and qb injuries have been consistent since 2020. Good riddance to that charlatan

JUST

Oh wait, Addazio is finally gone. We can breathe a sigh of relief.

1 word. Addazio

Normally I would rag on Addazio but the guy always recruited and produced a good offensive line and run game at BC.

He's a lousy head coach: bad decision making, bad clock management and meat-headed play calling, but offensive line was always good.

What’s weird is him with us our oline looked like they regressed. Footwork became super sloppy and they started doing tendencies that middle schoolers do. Ex Bryce Foster was a beast his freshman year this past year I saw this talented center start to trip over himself….. and than take his own guards with him…….

Maybe Jimbo micro managed into o-line technique?

I don't know. I think even when Addazio went to HC at CSU, they had a decent run game (but still all the clock management, play calling repeating issues BC saw).

He is a lousy head coach for sure but a good position coach. I never understood why he didn't get an offensive minded person on staff that was good strategically to cover his flaws, he still might be a head coach if he recognized his weaknesses along with his strengths.

I severely doubt it. Josh Henson (USC OC) was our last oline coach and while it took him a year he turned our oline into one of the strong units on the team and was developing them to the nfl (mid round talent but still impressive)

I played oline for 7 years and while I’ve never been a coach more than pop warner I know footwork is the most important part and watching our guys these past years it looks like they’re aren’t been coached because they’re footwork is nonexistent and they constantly dig their heads down so they can’t be aware of any blitz or twist on pass pro.

This is a rant that I hate addazio bc our oline was bad this is me saying our oline looked like it wasn’t being coached and the film shows it. According to the insiders of the program at Texags he was known for being more focused on tough love coaching and not focusing on the basics like footwork, handwork, and strategy

I can't say what happened. I do know for any story you get one side, the other side and the truth is usually somewhere in the middle.

With the amount of money and pampering pumped into programs these days, maybe they were simply too soft?

Like you say, o-line is technique, the feet of a ballerina and the playing attitude of a Neanderthal. Sounds like they had neither.

TBH while not game changers the oline looks a hell of a lot better

It’s not that weird when you think about the 3 seperate coaches it took to rebuild FSU’s OL room post-Jimbo

Just for the record, on the o line we had four top 100 recruits with a year or more of experience playing out there tonight. Three more guys that were lower end 4 stars too. Coaching was the problem, not recruiting

it is like they watched late mack to pre-sark era Texas and said that is how they need to build a roster
