To be fair to Bama, they've looked like an elite team outside of that. Texas has the millstone around their necks that is that double overtime against Kentucky and needing a miraculous comeback against Mississippi State.
They better win today, but that’s how you count top ten wins man. You look at the rank at the time of the game, not at the end of the season… don’t know what to tell you, that’s how it’s always worked
Okay then replace them with whoever you consider the worst FCS team, because Texas didn’t play one so that’s a simple switch. Still think we can’t assume a win?
That’s the thing, the Ohio State loss IS hurting them. If Texas played Samford (Like A&M did) instead of Ohio State, they’re 10-2 and it isn’t even a question if they’re in the playoffs or not.
If the committee leaves out Texas this year, I promise you they’ll cancel their OOC teams and just start playing exclusively cupcakes.
BUt the argument remains. Schedule Indiana’s OOC and the Florida game doesn’t matter. Why should anyone play hard OOC teams if there is only downside? Committee going to kill these games.
I’m sure Kirk will have a reasonable take on gameday tomorrow. He was hinting at it during the tail end of the Georgia game. And, in what world, are people justifying that UT / UGA game was closer than the score indicated. Some pure brain rot shit right there.
If total yardage determines who won the game, Ohio State would have a 2 game winning streak against Michigan right now. So yeah, arguing about out gaining while still losing doesn’t do anything.
I thought it was "Michigan lives rent free in OSU's head"? No one mentioned Michigan and yet here you are, trying to be more than a team that almost lost to a 5-4 Northwestern.

Imagine losing to Arch Manning in 2025.
