History Vanderbilt finishes with 10 wins for the first time ever after beating ranked Tennessee in Neyland for the first time ever
They've had two 9 win seasons before, in 1904 and 1915. Other than that they've only ever achieved 9 wins with bowl wins, in 2012 and 2013.
Vanderbilt has only ever defeated Tennessee when they were ranked once, in 2016, in Nashville. This was the first ever matchup when both teams were ranked.

u/timhoff24 Iowa State • Omaha Nov 30 '25
At the start of the 2024 season, Vandy, Indiana, and Iowa State were the only P4 teams to never have a 10-win season.
All three have one now.

Vandy pimp feels like one of those weird anachronisms that'll be super confusing for people 100 years from now
"okay, so back then women who sold their bodies for sex had like, managers, right?"
"and that was how cornelius vanderbilt made all his money, so they had one as a mascot?"
"... not exactly"

Vandy will finish 0-2 vs T25 teams. Oklahoma has basically the same quality of losses, the same wins, but one more win over Bama.
It’s not really close. OU should unequivocally be over Vandy.
