Going to be very hard to decide who deserves the #1 ranking. We have both Indiana and Notre Dame, neither of which lost in the post season.

Don't forget UW who also did not lose in the postseason

Hey, so did Illinois!

And besides…we lost to Indiana before it was cool! 😎👉👉

It has been years since MSU lost in the postseason

Literally that RedBox bowl against Oregon was the last time we lost.

Really quality losses for Alabama though — they're getting overlooked yet again

11

u/FrostyCount Sickos Jan 20 '26

They have a quality loss to the national champions

54

u/SoopMD Notre Dame Fighting Irish Jan 20 '26

I mean, ND was the last team to beat these monsters.

5

Unfathomable that Freeman picked Miami to win. Anyone but the Convicts. He should know better.

39

u/goldflame33 Notre Dame • Wisconsin Jan 20 '26

yeah yeah yeah, you know who was the last team to beat IU?

(might get to keep that honor for a long time...)

Hmm…tough to call…gonna check with my friend who judges coaches based on physical attractiveness to serve as the judge…

…wait, they think Curt looks more attractive lol?

Too real

Or alabama, they only lost to a team that beat alabama

9

u/ilikepie145 Iowa State Cyclones • Pop-Tarts Bowl Jan 20 '26

ND has a quality loss to the CFP runner up so I give them the edge

8

u/grw313 USC Trojans • Michigan Wolverines Jan 20 '26

I mean ND has both a quality loss to the team that jist played in the national championship, and a victory in a hypothetical rematch with the team that just played in the national championship.

8

u/Cisru711 Notre Dame Fighting Irish Jan 20 '26

Since ND is the last team to beat Indiana, the answer is obvious. ;)

Freeman was at the Championship and didn't lose, we'll call it a tie

10

u/ByronLeftwich Minnesota Golden Gophers Jan 20 '26

In my head while I was arguing with the shower curtain, Notre Dame beat the entire playoff field by 45 points each. So it’s pretty easy

5

u/markhachman Notre Dame Fighting Irish Jan 20 '26

Finally someone who gets it

3

u/Time-Wolf USF Bulls Jan 20 '26

It’ll be Alabama

Mmm not enough SEC in your rankings. Obviously Indiana didn’t have any quality losses like Alabama did. How can we even tell Indiana is a tough team if they didn’t face adversity? Born with silver spoons in their mouths. Had they had to face a real schedule who knows how they would’ve fared? /s

3

u/Fggunner Jan 20 '26

I think it's only fair to split the championship between them

3

u/Warhawk02 Notre Dame • Indiana Jan 20 '26

Now this is something I can get behind

3

u/domferno Ohio State Buckeyes Jan 20 '26

Don't forget Ohio State who has the 2 best quality losses

3

u/Just_Brendan Notre Dame • Jeweled Shillelagh Jan 20 '26

See ya at Lambeau, dork.

3

u/livejamie Arizona State • /r/CFB Brickmason Jan 20 '26

Oops they just gave it to Alabama

6

u/[deleted] Jan 20 '26

Considering Indiana is losing their QB, it's gotta be Notre Dame. 🤷‍♂️💯

2

u/trumpet575 Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets Jan 20 '26

Or Purdue or Ball State. The state of Indiana is the king of college football.

UMass isn't even the best team in Amherst

2

u/razzlebrasel Boston College Eagles • Iowa Hawkeyes Jan 20 '26

Don’t forget Iowa beating THE Heisman runner-up

2

u/IronClu Notre Dame • Boise State Jan 20 '26

Indiana has a serious lack of quality losses, gonna hurt their resume for sure

3

u/FlapjacksInProtest Notre Dame Fighting Irish • Iowa Hawkeyes Jan 20 '26

And guess who last beat IU

2

u/Original_Profile8600 Ohio State Buckeyes Jan 20 '26

Another hypothetical win for Notre Dame
