Good thing Beck tossed that pick because Indiana was on the verge of second guessing the play calling on their final two offensive plays for all of eternity considering they had a Heisman winning QB playing out of his mind up to that point.

I was very surprised they didn’t attempt a pass on 3rd down or try to convert that 4th down. I was pretty sure Miami was going to score and win the game after that. Glad I was wrong.

When I saw them run on 3rd down, I thought they did that with the intent of attempting a 4th down conversion

If the play went better I’m sure they would’ve. But 4th and 4. Take a chance!

Oddly enough it forced Miami to be aggressive to get to the endzone and not be able to get to the 25-30 and get a FG to tie.  The Timeout to settle the defense was the masterstroke needed.  Beck is careless when throwing aggressively and it showed up on the last play.
