You forgot the bye week option

Send him packing and just stream coaches like a fantasy roster.

Pull Malzahn out of retirement just to take on Alabama.

Maybe bring in Jimbo just for vibes at this rate

Malzahn is a death worse than death. You win some games, but in the most boring way possible. I honestly have trouble caring about UCF after him. He will destroy any program.

Definitely bring him to fsu as head coach

It'd honestly be so fuckin funny if Malzahn joined the coaching staff for whoever's playing Bama on any given week

I wouldn't want to actually witness that, but it's a cool idea. Cool, but cruel.

Moving like Hannibal being an anti-Roman mercenary after the end of the Second Punic War

The ol' retire from the job but continue working as a consultant gig

Reddit coaches FSU would be hilarious content tbh

I’m sure Fisher’s contract is beyond its years at this point, but assuming it wasn’t could Florida state force him to come back? 🤣

u/schwetybalz Florida State Seminoles Sep 08 '26

I think Jimbo has some love for FSU still. And they have the football only facility now lol

I wouldn’t put it past him to come back if he wanted to coach again.

He's too busy at the casters desk

Damn yall are down really bad if you're unironically wanting the jimbo vibes back, but I understand you

I was a student at FSU when Jimbo won the Natty, my glasses for him are certifiably rose colored

The situation in Tallahassee is so bad right now, Norvell being fired this week is not at all out of the question.

u/xmjm424 Florida Gators • Team Meteor Sep 08 '26

It was this bad coming into the season. It’s not suddenly worse after tonight’s loss. He’s been a dead man walking since at least last season. If they could afford to fire him now, they’d have done it in the offseason.

I could look it up - but what's the payout for firing him this week.

6

u/BagODonuts14 LSU Tigers • Tulane Green Wave Sep 08 '26

I believe it’s $51M if he’s fired at any point in 2026. Drops to $42M if they fire him after the season.

Personally, I don’t think the beating the FSU brand will take in the meantime is worth saving less than $10M.

Jobs like this are insane. I suck, I'm getting fired, and I'm collecting 51 million on the way out the door for sucking.

They probably had their fingers crossed hoping he could make it through the first part of the season unscathed (not including Alabama) and see the general fan temperature.

Agreed. Now is better than waiting for losses to stack up. The two weeks between now the Alabama game should be a fun time for all...

Maybe they could get a video of him stealing boxes

The real question is if he’s still coaching when Bobby rides again at UNC.
