Ashton Daniels is much worse than expected. My god. I’ve never seen a QB play in slow motion like this before.

Unfortunately yeah. He’s a good athlete but just a really bad quarterback. Hasn’t changed much since he was at Stanford

And I thought it couldn’t get any worse than DJU.

Honestly I feel like he is better than DJU

Literally anyone on earth is better than DJU, Daniels is just DJU 2.0 with a couple bug fixes and small performance improvements.

I don’t know what Norvell or the staff saw in him, he was afraid to throw the ball at Stanford, & then “developed” under Hugh Freeze at Auburn.

His decision-making was absent. I watched him on at least a dozen plays running out of the pocket, freezing up, then throwing erratically.

I honestly felt bad for y’all because over the last decade, SMU has always had decent quarterbacks. Not as athletic as Kevin, but at least good decision-makers with strong arms.

Daniel looked really lost out there and more of a backup than a true starter.

I genuinely wonder if they'd be more competitive if they ran an triple option-based offense.
