I have a feeling he’s gonna be a great NFL Back up/ 3rd string QB. Cause he’s got a lot of moxy and grit. Which can keep you in a locker room for a long time. I wanted Mateer and Oklahoma to suck this year. But this was a tough loss.
I also don’t know why Oklahoma found something that worked on offense to start the 3rd and then just completely abandoned it the rest of the game??
Respect to Michigan though they turned it around and gave themselves a chance at the playoffs with this win
Always have thought our excuses for BV getting dominated in RRS were pathetic. Texas competed every year in that game late in the 2010s when they had horrific qb play
No one is perfect in rivalry games. But if you go 1/4 in rrs and all the losses were demolitions, you better pull a Ryan day and win a championship. 3 humiliating losses to texas should be an immediate firing
We're both football blue bloods with strong academics, a hated red O rival in a bordering state, have an in-state cultlike younger brother for a secondary rival, and have a historic but not really relevant or heated rivalry with a team that used to be a powerhouse but hasn't been for a long time. We're basically mirrors of each other
Minnesota and Arkansas. Michigan and Texas each dominate the all-time series against their respective opponent who's fallen on hard times on the field lately and hasn't won a natty since the 60's, but we have a rivalry with them nonetheless for mostly nostalgic reasons.
(I just like bringing up the comparison between us and Texas whenever I can because it's weirdly fitting.)
He was at the natty game (that never got played and definitely doesn’t have an embarrassing final score) in TCU gear. Didn’t make it to the fiesta bowl, luckily
Mateer is not good and never has been while at OU. He has proved that he doesn’t belong in the P4. If I am a OU fan I am pissed Venables didn’t bring in another portal QB after last year.
So basically, Oklahoma can only be good if they have a massive QB advantage because it’s not like him playing with this situation meant Michigan had a lot better QB situation than them. Michigan still has Bryce on is their quarterback so you’re just admitting that the rest of the team town is better for Michigan.
Of course, the Michigan take away from the game is that they still have Underwood and have to live with that.

OU haters conveniently ignoring that Mateer just came back from surgery 48 weeks ago. Once his thumb heals in 2-3 more years he’s gonna be a problem
